OK, so I assume you are also boycotting any company who has staff coming in on Southern trains (when they occasionally run), for the same reason? Don't see it working myself, but everyone's at liberty to boycott whoever they please. All that would happen is that Argos would terminate the existing delivery contract as it is negatively impacting their business, doubtless putting those same drivers out of work - sounds like the sort of 'victory' the miners got.

The dispute with Wincanton centres on how holiday pay is calculated. Legal cases have established that overtime and extra shift payments should be taken into account when assessing holiday pay. The management has offered to backdate the holiday pay from April this year, while Unite says the pay should cover at least the last two years, hence the estimated £700 owed to individual drivers. In a separate dispute, Wincanton drivers working at the Argos centre in Basildon in Essex are voting on whether to take industrial action over a disciplinary system relating to ‘uncontrolled vehicle movements’. This ballot result is due on Friday (16 December). Unite regional officer Rick Coyle said: "The drivers have patiently tried to resolve this matter for over two years. Now they would like the money they are owed in time for Christmas, which is not unreasonable. “It is very difficult to understand why Wincanton has allowed this saga to get out of hand because this strike by our members will cause havoc and mayhem to deliveries to Argos shops in the run-up to Christmas. “There will be a lot of very unhappy Argos customers, if they don’t receive the iPhones, TVs and ‘white’ goods that they have ordered as presents for relatives this Christmas. ENDS- If you have any information about milk tanker drivers or sainsburys being involved in the dispute I'd love to see it.

If there was an official picket line, I wouldn't cross it. So you'd rather Argos just sacked the striking workers instead of just paying them the few hundred quid each they are owed? I wouldn't want to work for you.

The Independent is wrong. "Unite said the dispute with Wincanton centred on how holiday pay was calculated." Sainsbury's own Argos, so if you think Argos are to blame (which they aren't) you'd also boycott them.

I wouldn't want to work for you. Argos can't strike the workers, because the workers don't work for Argos. The dispute is between the workers and the delivery company they work for. Argos have a contract with the delivery company to do their deliveries. This dispute is absolutely nothing to do with Argos (it's just their deliveries which are suffering)

There you go : [Link] As the United article say, the drivers work for Wincanton at the Argos depot.... the history of the plc says that it's origins were in the bulk delivery of milk and that it is the main distributor for Sainsbury's..... Oh, and you will have to also boycott the Co-Op as it delivers for them too.....
