I conclude that....taking off McArthur at any time during a game is not beneficial to Crystal Palace having just gone through a very very long list of past games

And if you go back through past games you will see that we very rarely win with Cabaye on the pitch at 90 minutes.

And is it we only win with Punch in the team ?

Willo ?

..so are we saying that with McArthur on the pitch we don't make mistakes but without him we do, do you really want me to list all the silly goals given away with him involved in the team because I can, I'll just do moan.u for starters, he was there for ledley's lovely handball and he was still there for the refs lovely interpretation of offside for Mata's goal...of course he watched also the beautiful handling of the ball for their wonderful first goal and then he watched in awe as we brilliantly played them offside.
People are just trying to link our misfortune to one person and time when really it is a collection of problems over a long period of time all starting when we failed to make the most of Mr Murray and then failed to replace him properly, Wickham excused sadly for injuries because he has great potential, but very poor luck.

Wait...Benteke isn't a proper replacement for Murray (both things that happened under Perdu)? I'm missing the joke here. Someone explain the joke.

I don't expect luck to help when our squad, built with a respectable £131 million (and about £26M in physio), goes up against the most expensive squad ever built to the tune of £628 million (and a free Zlatan to boot).

We have never beat them in the Premier League, and it was unlikely to happen with 4 squad players starting, even if Mancini was the manager.

We didn't get blown out, despite many such predictions on here. And 6 other bottom half teams also lost. The sky isn't falling.... yet.

What is worrying me is that the easy answer is just to say PARDEW OUT to everything that happens, and to say anybody who disagrees is DELUDED and STUPID. This leaves no room for useful debate and no room for balanced discussion.

We were clearly unlucky yesterday. The team clearly are fighting for Pardew. The disputed goal on the stroke of half-time with our bad run would have put the heads down of most teams but our team continue to fight. The subsitution had no impact on their second goal, Jimmy Mac wouldn't have been involved I don't think. At the time ManU were attacking with 8-9 players, could be Pardew was thinking by playing a hard running Campbell we could maybe reduce the tide.

However, I probably agree that Pardew's time is up but sacking him will be a high risk strategy and will only be made when it is 100% clear that we are not going to get out of this slump. I thing Pardew's tactics are questionable and have cost us a number of points this year. I also think the coaching of the team has gone downhill and hold Pardew responsible for this. In hindsight the board should have replaced Pardew in the Summer in the light of our terrible form in the second half of last year.

I can see you getting red carded for this post. Far too thoughtful. Stop talking sense and go and support Newcastle/Brightsh*te FFS!

We're not getting spanked either...we just need to concentrate for the whole game

Another too sensible post.....

Not many opportunities for french grammar police, but isn't perdu the past participle of the verb 'perdre' to lose. So lost not loser, although maybe equally apt.

You are right but it's good enough, Glazed old chap. Alain Lost works for me.
