There was no lack of fight tonight.

I thought it was a gritty, battling performance.

The problem is that we can't afford to buy in the top talent in the same way as clubs such as Man U.

The gulf is wider than ever.

Good point since Ferguson left, United have had 3 Managers and spent £480 Million on Players.

Palace 13th 2017/18.

What a team lacks in quality can be made up with sheer belief, professionalism & organisation. We have none of these things and game by game what little we do have diminishes further!

We should be able to hold on for a draw, we should be able to grind out a result from time to time, we should be able to frustrate teams defensively with an organised defence and midfield.

The gulf is no bigger than it’s ever been and look at what Leicester did last season deploying the 3 aforementioned skills.

Also, look at where Watford are currently? Look at how Bournemouth conduct themselves? Etc …

Utter b*llox being served by way of excuses by Pardew and some fans on this site! The anti Pardew brigade don’t expect Europe they just expect the 3 things I’ve mentioned as they can get you through games. Pardews new tactic of trying to outscore the opposition – whoever it is – is niave, shortsighted and ignorant/arrogant! The man is a fool …

We made a bit of a fist of it early in the second half, but we looked so vulnerable to crosses. Players not picking up runners, being out jumped. There is a deeper malaise here. Poor tactics, poor coaching and we are also paying for a poor pre-season which has resulted in us looking unfit. We were such a fit team when Pardew took over and we had quality as well. Anyone remember how brilliant we were at Anfield for the Stevie G farewell. We have even more quality now, but look worse as a team!!!! Who else is to blame apart from Pardew?? It is like the life is slowly being drained from us. We need to act now before it is too late

This team never gives up. It may have it's limitations, but lacking fight is totally insulting to them. Last night Wilf and Macca sacrificed their games for large spells playing out of their regular positions for the sake of the team. The approach was the right one IMO, but late on we lost concentration again. Sick of this happening every week now. Time for a change.

Well said that man. Difficult to argue with a single word. Did anyone believe for a moment that we would hang on for the draw? I dread to think what will happen on Saturday.

Pogba (90m Transfer, 290k a week) Ibrahimovic (free, but 200k a week).

490k a week, two players. Both world class players with massive pedigree.

They made all the difference (and both United goals).

The gulf in class between the squads to me, suggests the fact we were in it until the end, speaks volumes about our fight and determination. Cabaye looked transformed tonight.

Problem is, we played this well against United and were resolute, where as against Burnley, Swansea and Hull we were gifting easy chances.

If we played like that in those three games, we'd be on 24 points. And that is why he has to go. Not because Man Utd, but because we can't play that well against teams we actually need to get points from.

Exactly mate. But the pro Pardew wallies (Cucking aside as I always respect what he has to say) resigned themselves to losing against Man U & Chelsea weeks ago so discount these games when assessing Pardews suitability for the position! I mean, 6 wins in 40+ games and we can afford to discount games … WTF!!!

I seriously think some people need to take their head out of their arse’s and Pardews for that matter and ADMIT we are f*cked until he leaves!!!

First half we looked disciplined and resolute at the back. Flamini, McArthur and Cabaye seemed to work well. Less so, McArthur, Cabaye and Ledley, but we got back in it.

And McArthur for Campbell - WTF - that hammered home that Pardew is a gambler, and a chancer, rather than a pragmatist tactician.

Well I think you can discount the idea of getting points against Man Utd and Chelsea, realistically speaking, you can't judge someone on those games. Until you're 4 or five minutes from getting a point, under pressure from some stunning midfielders and attackers, and decide to substitute a midfielder for a barely capable striker, just because he won you a brief reprieve with a last minute goal against Hull (that you shouldn't have needed).

I’m not judging on these 2 games just ‘all’ the results in 2016 of which we have won 6 in 40+ games, don’t know how to grind out a draw, a win, keep a clean sheet, no leadership, ridiculous substitutions, no suggestion things will get better etc! We beat Chelsea at home the other season and yes it was a surprise but we know 100% we will lose on Saturday … that’s a big difference!!!!
