No one gets that angry over a free kick given against him, it went on for so long I thought maybe something was said. The ref not booking him after such a protracted rant didn't make sense, it was a strange one.

Dann showed his lack of captaincy and leadership pedigree today. Ref called him over to talk to Wilf and he could command discipline or respect from neither. Wilf needed a serious talking to and Danny was not capable of getting him back in line and didn't even try. Not surprised we have a lack of discipline when there is no leader on the field

Wilf would benefit from strong captaincy, which is not a clear issue on field. It is great to see Dann and Delaney working back together again, but it was clearly Jimmy Mac calling the shots at dead ball defence and that worked better today. He is a regular starter, but not sure changing captaincy right now is sensible.

It looked to me as though Dann eventually calmed him down and put him back in the wall. My issue over the captaincy is more that it is affecting Dann's own game and he cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. McArthur OTOH apparently can. As for Wilf, at least he gives a to$$ what happens to us, which is more than can be said for Townsend.

No shame in changing the captain halfway thru the season when the present solution does not work. It seems to affect Dann's playing and as someone mentioned, our Scottish midfielder seems a clear leader (and talker) on the pitch.

JM is a very very good captain - but not in my view a leader/captain. He allowed Pearson to bully him - DD would have smacked Pearson in the mouth. THAT is a leader/captain. I think that part of our problem at the moment is a lack of backbone/bravery/savvy in the team. Where is the Thomas /Gray /Ninja /Jim /Derry /Hughes /Kellard /Hill /Jedinak at the moment? There is Delaney - and that is all.
