We were decent v Man UTD so so v Chelsea let three in v Hull. Watford are a tough test nothing I have seen since Swansea suggests we will keep a clean sheet away from home lets see if we can outscore them.

He has this knack of always getting a result one goal worse than the other lot. 1 - 0 Chelsea, 2 - 1 United, 3 - 2 Burnley and nearly Hull, 5 - 4 Swansea. Actually managed to lose more goals to the s***e teams and fewer to the top sides. But mostly always one less than them. And usually by a goal late in the game. If we can nearly force draws against United and Chelsea we shouldn't be scraping them at Hull, fighting back from two down at the Stadium of Sh!te, or letting Llorente score twice in injury time. And I don't think it's a coincidence that four of these silly late capitulations have followed substitutions involving the removal of McArthur.

We have been playing well, but where some areas have changed, it's left other areas exposed and little errors have crept it. I would have used this season as a no thrills season. Grind out results, keeping it simple, working from the back, then, during cup matches and specific matches, introduces elements to transgress into - almost having a gem of two halves for some matches, then as the season comes to a close, we would have seen a gradual change.

I remain a Pardew loyalist and am confident of a sequence of excellent results - just as occurred when he first arrived back as manager Agreed 2016 was a shocker, but sufficient unto the year is the evil thereof. Past results are not necessarily a guide to future performance. COYP.

The six game run of defeats was terrible, and as you say several of those games were when McArthur went off. 6 points were lost by us. There is not much between the bottom and 8th spot this Season. Fine lines and you just have to Win. Week in week out. Not sure if Watford will be Pardews last hurrah DEENEY has not scored for ten matches so might be worth a fiver bet. Then Arsenal who have already blown the league before Christmas, two defeats on the trot. We will see COYP.

A change is a good as a rest, a new manager will give the team a kick up the arse. Hopefully uniting them Pards can go and do the same somewhere else. No matter who's fault it is injuries or whatever change is needed in my opinion though it gives me no pleasure to say it. I expect now for us to win at Watford and the whole thing to drag on. Still a win would be good
