Well maybe.Our failure in that game was to see it out.One of the lads should of got a tackle in on Rooney.

Same as Saturday Cabaye followed Hazard across the pitch ,Cabaye should of tackled him.
Hazard passed , the cross came in and Wayne cocked up.

I don't really mind too much if we're relegated, obviously I'd rather stay up, but we've had a good run in the top flight and I think we'd go down a more 'established team' than when we went up, and with greater influence, economic capacity, status - I think we all kind of know that its unlikely we'd become a permanent Premiership team without massive investment.

I could live with the championship, provided we don't do a Charlton / Bolton / Wigan.

No substantial ground improvements, no new stand, no major improvements to the training facilities, not even that new club shop in the car park. Plus there'd be a mass exodus of those players who could still find a place in the PL and an even bigger exodus of 10,000 'supporters'. And I wonder how long the US investors would hang around? Don't we? I thought we'd been in and won more Championship playoffs than anyone else. And I wouldn't think Wickham or Souare would be going anywhere having not played for most of this season, for a start.

Having said which, if this muppet takes us down with the players he's got, I for one will be f****** incandescent.

Would be a serious problem. As well as these leaving, quite a few of the 'remainder' would need replacing as getting old or not good enough. Big rebuilding job if we go down....

Do hope his replacement has already been short listed so we can have a seamless change of manager in the minimum time frame .

While many are in denial, at least James Mc Arthur knows we are in a relegation battle and that the Watford match is now a" must win game".
Lose this one and again at Arsenal,and Pardew is finished.Just how many more games to we have to lose before our position becomes hopeless ??
Do hope his replacement has already been short listed so we can have a seamless change of manager in the minimum time frame .
