Don't agree. It's showing the timeline & how things have deterioated. You judge things by looking at the whole picture not just bits some which may be good or not. Some people like to weight things up by considering all factors overall.

Ok we have improved the first half of this season since the second half of last. 11 points last 19 games, 15 first 17. Clearly things are on the up?

Do you think Leicester fans think everything is fine because of the amo8nt of points they got last season?

As I said, I want AP gone but the OP stats prove nothing

We haven't won the league like Leicester so regarding CR I should imagine there's plenty of credit in the bank to be had anyway. Starting off good is a godsend cos there's a cushion. The stats indicate a trend a unhealthy 1 which of course could get worse or improve.

I think it does and I don't understand why people refuse to see the huge significance in the difference between a bad run of form that lasts a couple of months and a bad run of form that has stretched over an entire year.

If it were just a couple of months you could argue that he's been unlucky with injuries, the players are adjusting to a new style or any other number of reasons. Doing badly for this long indicates that something is fundamentally wrong with his management of the club.

Well last season we couldn't score with Ade leading the line, with Gayle I guess --but our Defence was very solid. This season, we score for fun, 5th in the league or some such. But our defence has sucked eggs.

So yes, we have had bad runs, but I see them very differently. We all knew we needed a striker badly last January, we got Ade.

It makes sense we focused on scoring. They got Big Ben, and townsend (who probably scored more than Bolasie), and Remy. Yes, many people felt we were light on FBs, but Pape was solid.

No way Parish could know that Pape would crash and be done for the season. Even then we would have been ok if tomkins had stayed fit. Dann has lost confidence and Damo was supposed to be cover at 35. And our stikrer plan assumed Remy would play some games, and Wickham would continue to be a force when we needed to play 2 up front. So the plan is off the rails.

Good news is there is a chance to fill some holes and improve the squad soon. But THIS season's issue with bad form are very different.

End of last season we had no one scoring goals but Dann. This season we have no one preventing goals, which I think is a cheaper fix.

I don't disagree that there are problems. I think it's time for AP to go But the stats would indicate we are performing better in the 1st half of this season compared to the second half of last. That is a fact.

It's still not good enough and that's why AP should go, not because of points we did or didn't get last season.

As for the poster that says CR has credit in the bank. Yes he does but there's a loud (probably) minority of Leicester fans who are very unhappy.

The Leicester fans (minority) who are unhappy are deluded & fail to see the last seasons achievements unlikely to replicated anytime soon won't be enough to upset the applecart. I fail to see how Leicester have got dragged into this! The stats even out & it bares no relevance to state we are marginally doing better this half & than last half if you factor in the additions it's a even bleaker picture on reflection.

Petrol,

No way Parish or Pardew could know Pape would do himself in a car crash but he could be out for 6-9 months with a football injury that's more likely than a car crash. CPFC prepared for no loss of Souare or any more than 2 defenders out. That is unacceptable and very risky going into a season with 6 defenders, only 1 left footer who can play left back plus Fryers for 10 mins every few weeks. It is no surprise really is it?

But some weren't worried because Benteke was here to save the day and everything would be fine. Woohoo.

I mentioned Leicester originally to illustrate the futility of I sung last season's points. They don't count, they've been used Leicester are now struggling, all those points they gained pfft gone. You responded about RC credit in the bank. Not with everyone

Why does 4 points more in 2 less games bare no relevance? Does it not demonstrate an improvement?

You want to factor in our additions? Fair enough, what about everyone else's additions too?

Anyway we both want the same thing, we just disagree about the point of reference

Ok fair point.

Completely agree with this. My issue with the whole Pardew in/out debate is consistency. Happy to disregard last season's results but in that instance I also don't regard the FA Cup or his first season's results as valid reasons to keep him.

Based purely on this season, 0.88 points a game will give us about 34 points over the season, which will virtually always end in relegation.

Well I agree Rudi, they should have got a LB in (I think most people wanted them to). I'm guessing they tried (and failed), but who knows with rumours.

But if you asked me in the summer what we needed most, it would have been a top-class striker (I love Wickham, but that's not him). I never thought we'd get Benteke, so I was, and am, thrilled.

Now when we lost Bolasie, I would have said a winger is priority #2. They got Townsend, and I was happy, because I didn't know he would be the invisible man.

As for Defence, I was happy with Tomkins, because my Hammer friends was really sad to see him go. I thought he'd be a good pairing with Dann, and could cover for Ward if he went down.

I think we actually looked strong defensively against Southampton with Ward on the left Dann, Damo and Tomkins on the right. Best we had looked in 10 games or so. Kelly looked ok on the right, so maybe we can make do with Ward on the left.

Jury is still out on Mandanda, but he looked to be having some trouble adjusting to set pieces in the Prem. But Hennessey is a good backup.

Overall I was pretty happy with our business. I didn't expect them to solve all our issues in one summer.

We're not a big enough club to have real quality sitting on the bench as backups, so I think there is a lot of balancing to do that the top clubs don't have to worry about. But I rate the job Parish has done, (focusing on getting the best bench players from other top flight teams rather than rolling the dice on Championship players), and I hope we'll strengthen the squad in January
