Forget about this talk of Sam's dodgy deals because we've had loads of those in the past including AP - it doesn't affect the football. Forget this talk about his tactics being boring - that just comes mainly from the stupid Wet Spam mistaken belief in their so called acadamy football. Just look at his record and it ticks all the boxes. He looks a perfect fit for us. Unlike 3 of our recent managers he does not walk out on the job so we can look forward to a period of stability and continued growth. He will have already told SP of his targets in the January window and hopefully there will be someone to properly fill the hole left by Pardews stupid sale of Jedinak. A left back is a must and another striker. Hopefully Wilf is going nowhere unless it's mega mega money.
Parish has never let us down and I back him totally on this appointment so people should get off their high horses and give Big Sam and the team their full support.

The facts are there for all to see SP could not stick any longer with AP as the stats were clear, if he stayed in the job we would have almost certainly been relegated as he could not defend and stop teams from scoring and we still need to average something over 1.33 points per game for the rest of the season to land on 43 points which is the total that we will need to be sure of being safe (42 has resulted in relegation before in 2003). put in simple terms the team has to win 9 of the next 21 games and draw one. I'm sorry but AP could not deliver, over the last 12 months @ 0.74 points per PL game it was too much of a risk!

I liked AP but he had to go. How could anyone justify his performance or that of the rest of the coaching team in 2016 to investors and say it will come right.
The timing was right, you wouldn't want to throw a new guy in with games against Man U and Chelsea. You wouldn't want to give AP the January cheque book.
But I thought Allardyce was a great centre half for Bolton and a decent manager but saw the documentary in the early 2000's about corruption in football where he starred and was later stunned when he was appointed England Manager.
I am sure he will get us out of trouble given a fitter squad and one or two key purchases but I can't believe there was nobody else who could do this.
I am really disappointed that SP has stooped so low but will support the boys to the hilt although I won't be singing BFS's red and blue army.

Palace do 'siege mentality' quite well. Us against the world, backs to the wall, do or die situations. SA being disliked may very well work to the clubs advantage on the outside if our fans get behind him.
