And what if Benteke gets injured?

Someone else will have to play up top.

Wickham, Cambell, Punch, someone anyone.

But if we don't stop shipping goals it won't matter if beneteke is fit or injured.... will it? We could buy 8 forwards but if we keep shipping goals....

Hence why I'm saying we need to concentrate on the defence.

Not sure how we can afford a decent striker and a left back and other defensive cover / improvements.

How much is this striker we need going to cost?

Personally think we should be buying quality, we have plenty of non quality players and don't see the point in buying more...

That buying said if Sam has a few Kone type deals from overseas for £6M then maybe.

In fact in Allardyce's first 'Transfer Window' in January all the players came from overseas clubs - Bayern Munich, Lorient and Bordeaux at a total cost of £16 Mill.

Gibbs
Kone
Rogic
Diafra Sako

I'd be happy with this.

Was delighted to see that Mrs A ensured that Sam was correctly attired for Watford (he was wearing Palace Kit). Hopefully, without the worry of what to wear - he must have one of the largest collections available - he will have time to start the progress of one, two, three or (even) four of the Palace youngsters into Wilf's league.

Tbh dont know much about either of these, but good to see the rumours are just about all pointing towards strengthening the defence

Wickham is out until next season, Campbell works hard, but isn't the answer to anything, other than 'who should we get rid of in the summer' and Puncheon, you must be joking. We can't win games if we don't score goals and we won't stay in the PL with a string of goal-less draws. We do need to strengthen the defence, everyone know that, but we also need cover for Benteke as Remy appears to be a permanent sick-note.

Terrific left-foot and can play either as left-back or further forward on left-flank.I mentioned his left-foot but he will shoot from outside the box with his right-foot so he appears comfortable on both feet.Puts in excellent crosses down the left. Can score from 25 yard free kicks.

That would be a real cutting your nose off to spite your face job, by both SA and SP, if true.

Clearly as we all know a left-back is a priority.

I believe we also need to strengthen up front - If Benteke gets injured we are in real trouble with Wickham currently out, and of course his injury record, and Remy having not played for months. We would have to start with Fraizer Campbell !
