Gomez challenge on benteke

It's already been mentioned on here; the last man/red card rule has been changed to a yellow card unless there is an additional infringement that warrants a red in its own right. It should definitely have been a yellow though.

Just watched it on MOTD and should have been a red in its own right - lucky not to injure Benteke

For me a red card. Yes he's going away from goal, but it's the nature of the challenge. No attempt to get the ball. He just kicks Benteke and if that was a outfield player doing that it would be a red.

In 'Real time' seeing it as it happened my immediate reaction was that it was a penalty but that no card was warranted.NO - I wasnt 'Wired up' to Mark !

If it was an outfield player it would have been a yellow as it should have been for Gomez .
And we still need a striker |

That is reckless.

So why wasn't a yellow given Willo and yet he gave Delaney one plus a penalty, again no consistency and with arguably (very) with the leagues best ref in charge?
