I have said it before and I will say it again willo (trolly) is a troll it beggars belief that he could just lick clattenc*** arse all the time, when the majority of palace fans, and a load of my mates who support other clubs agree he is at best incompetent and worse (which I am beginning to feel myself) corrupt and bent.
And the fact he was voted the best referee in the world in dubai...yes that paragon of virtue dubai, and now the talk of him going to china (please god) to chase the money says it all.

You use the words "Hacked at". From my perspective it was just a mis-timed clumsy challenge.

Mis-timed, clumsy challenges have resulted in many broken legs and career threatening injuries over the years. Whilst I don't believe that was close to happening in this case, the challenge still hit Benteke at knee level which shows Gomez had no control over it. That warrents a yellow card, let alone him being the last man. For Clattenburg, he made less mistakes than usual but how he is judged to be the best ref in the world is a mystery to me, almost everyone I speak to from various fan bases don't rate him. I expect nothing less from the wonders of FIFA though.

"They got his own song 'He's just too good for you', it's quite unbelievable but when you see it and he's facing up someone - I actually feel sorry for them, 'Cos he actually is" - Ian Holloway

Well many senior referees I have spoken to as well as many, many from the refereeing fraternity speak of him in glowing terms and maybe they know a lot more about the job than numerous "Fan bases".

Rest assured, I am NOT taking an alternative stance to the majority on here as an act of provocation, I am merely giving you my honest opinion.

Now you see that is what makes you look a doughnut, the standard of the referees has gone down in the last few years,Keith Hackett has said as much.
Pawson last 3 games terrible, missed 2 definite red cards
And gave a host of yellows his last game.
I really don't give a s*** about you pretending to know "top referees" you are a troll who needs to go back to Brighton.

Not the worst ref I've seen is me,me,me Clattenburg- Andy D'Urso take a bow - but not a very good one either.

2005: January - Fails, along with his assistants, to spot Tottenham midfielder Pedro Mendes' shot had been fumbled over the line by Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll in a match at Old Trafford.

2007: October - Sends off Everton's Tony Hibbert in a Merseyside derby after initially appearing to be about to show him a yellow card only to change his mind and pull out a red after a brief exchange with Steven Gerrard. He later did not send off Dirk Kuyt for a two-footed lunge at Phil Neville. Clattenburg did not referee another Everton match until 2012.

2008: August 6 - Suspended pending a probe into his business affairs following allegations he owed £60,000 as a result of a failed venture. Pulled out of the FA Community Shield clash between Manchester United and Portsmouth as a result and later sacked by the Professional Game Match Officials board.

2009: February - Reinstated as a Select Group Referee on appeal, but suspended for eight months from August 6, 2008, for "issues relating to his private business affairs".

December - It is alleged, in a match between Bolton and Manchester City, that he asked the City bench: "How do you work with Craig Bellamy all week?" Sends Bellamy off for two yellow cards in the game.

2010: October - Correctly, if controversially, allows a goal to stand between Manchester United and Tottenham when Nani tapped the ball in after Spurs goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes put the ball down, believing his side had a free-kick. Clattenburg had not blown his whistle.

October 28 - Accused of using 'inappropriate language' toward two Chelsea players during their defeat to Manchester United in a formal complaint by the club to the Premier League.

Benteke did Gomez a big favour by not making a meal of the hack , there are plenty of players who would have been beating the ground and feigning injury, which Clattenburg would have fallen for,and given him a card of some description.

A will-o'-the-wisp is an atmospheric ghost light seen by travellers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes. It resembles a flickering lamp and is said to recede if approached, drawing travellers from the safe paths.

Had he not been wearing a red and blue shirt, of course.

As far as I at least am concerned it's been proven beyond any credible doubt many times over.
