I think Gomes was going for the ball to boot it into the stands, he had no intention of kicking Benteke and Clatterburg in my opinion got that right, penalty was enough of a penalty for Gomes.

Look at it in slow motion, you may well then change your mind. He knew exactly what he was doing and thank God that Benteke wasnt seriously injured. If you still think he got it right clumsy or not, why no card especially when Delaney got one got one for just a pull for which, a penalty was given. Just not consistent from a supposed top ref!

I think Cluntenf*ck is the worst ref in the world, but I don't agree that Gomes tried to maim Benteke. He took a swing at the ball just before Benteke touched it on and kicked Benteke instead. However he could easily have got a yellow on the grounds of dangerous play.
The Wilf incident was a clear pen but there was no way Cluckerf#nt was going to give it. And I agree that having decided not to give it, he had to give Wilf a yellow to justify his decision.

I just think if Hennessey had made that contact with Ibrahimovic it would have been a red. It's near impossible to judge intent. He missed and kicked Benteke. Kicking a opponent should surely be a red card. If Benteke had missed and kicked Gomes I'm sure it would have been.

Gomes had his eye more on Benteke than the ball and he could have scored from the position if he had got past the goalie as the angle was still generous.

By the laws it should have been a straight red.

Mind you Benteke should have got the red too for that joke of a penalty.

Clattenburg is a long way from being the top class referee he thinks he is and has been over-promoted.

Thank goodness Willo has gone out, bores me to tears, probably does it deliberately, amazing he has never been carded....one for being a p*at.and two being the only Holer to defend Clattenbergs decisions.
Defo at least a yellow, and I can't wait for him to officiate again at Selhurst...on the other hand no thanks we need the points.

I'm very confused.

I think that if gk doesn't take out the CF, the CF will carry on running to the ball that he gently touched past the gk previously, then tap the ball along the floor towards the goal that he's attacking and then just f u x i n g simply score!!!!???

Am I being over damn stupid here!!??

I don't recall the ball being over the line when benteke got butchered..

Very obviously Clatterburg thought Gomes genuinely went for the ball hence his decision and I feel that he did as well, it was a 50/50 moment and Benteke won it by half a centimetre and the penalty should have been well enough of an award for his troubles.

Well here is the truth.....the goalkeeper was committed so made a decision.to pre b ent a goal and accept the consequences. He made the right call based on Benteke's pathetic attempt at the penalty. However, he knew he was going to make the foul.....i.e. A booking at least.

Why you can't just admit that is proof that you are just trying to provoke people.

..everyone against Willo are having an absolute laugh, it's like putting him on a rack and stretching him until he confesses, why should he admit something against his beliefs just to shut you lot up and anyway it is great entertainment and Willo stand up for yourself because on this occasion you are absolutely right, Clatterburg got every single decision correct in this match and only people who have an agenda cannot see this and I never normally stand up for this ref, he was very fair and honest during this game.

..so, the only way he doesn't sound boring is to admit he was wrong and that all you lot are actually correct, I see.

Clatterburg is only a puppet, he has to be investigated after every single game where the brass in charge of him access his actions and behaviour during the games, he wouldn't be the most sort after ref if he was actually as awful as all you lot make him out to be and if his superiors got any wind of any favouritism towards any team during a game he would be out as quick as a flash and refereeing in the Champ, it is not to his benefit to muck up decisions and allow any teams any favours, because he knows he will be demoted by his superiors...all you Willo haters need to get a grip.

But please don't stop, it is great entertainment.

If he was going for the ball and was just beaten to it he cannot be accused of dangerous play.
