No it didn't differ/both the same/identical, what other description would you like; so please stop trying to protect Clattenburg. This ought to have been at least a yellow and as others on here have said if the goalie was an outfield player it would possibly have been a red, his boot caught Benteke on the side of the knee. Do you ever see any wrong in our favourite ref because if you have I have never read it? Even he said that he makes mistakes and Mark this was one of them, do you agree Willo?

From what I have seen I believe it would have been a mistake to brandish a 'Yellow' as I would say the same even if the referee was someone other than Clattenburg.

All referees make mistakes from time to time but in my book Clattenburg was "Spot-on" in his decision making regards the incident.I would have been really disappointed if our keeper had been given a 'Yellow' in similar circumstances.

If he sees the video, he gives a yellow. Its a deliberate foul by the keeper and a stonewall penalty - and the challenge is in no way aimed at getting the ball - Yellow all day long.

From his position, he can't give that, unless he's sure - its a penalty but the yellow, no I think its probably siding on what he can be sure of.

I think he was wrong on Zaha, but I can also see why he gave it. It certainly wasn't a foul or a penalty, but there was physical contact, and enough to disturb his balance.

youd have been disappointed then, as , if it were Hennessey making that foul, he would have got a RED all day long, we know it and you know it !

If the referee doesn't see it though, he can't call it as such. If there was any justice, the FA / PML would penalise Gomes with a caution or ban, because it was reckless and intentional.

But the referee has to see this, from across the pitch, in the midst of play. Its not like he has a good view of this, and nor does the lino or 4th official.

Which is why Football should have replays for decisions when the ball has stopped and a decision made.

Absolutely - if he doesn't see of course he can't give it. I was responding to that 'pickle troll who said it's not dangerous play if it is unintentional.

A odd concept given its impossible to determine whether something is intentional or not. There is clearly unintentional, like ball to hand etc. Dangerous play is not reckless play, it doesn't matter intent, if its a two footed lunge, its an automatic red, even if it doesn't connect.

I,ve just watched the Benteke foul on i-player about six times and if anybody thinks Gomez was going for the ball is either deluded or needs new glasses. The ball was on the deck and Benteke was kicked just below the knee.

No yellow card at the very least was a joke and shows Clattenf*** will never give Palace anything, ever.

Apart from a penalty of course and he was very lenient in not giving one against us for the first Delaney foul, which was worse than the second one.

Yes, that was my point in my response to him, but thankfully he's been banned now and probably understood all too well but was just trolling.

I can assure you this is NOT the case.Just giving my honest opinion.

At the end of the day when Mark's performance is analysed as part of a 'Forensic' analysis, which is normal, they might decide that a card should have been awarded, all I am doing is giving my opinion based on what I have seen.

ok lets assume that the "forensic analysis" says a card should have been awarded.....what happens to "mark" and how indeed does that help us....
Will mark be suspended, dropped a division or just patted on the back and told "well done son, youve f***ed them over again, keep up the good work???

If "Mark"'s performance were ever really subjected to forensic analysis by someone impartial with powers and accountability for ensuring fair play his feet wouldn't touch the floor.
