Mourinho, just like Ferguson did for years, has done a job on the referees. Moaned and moaned. Been disciplined. Won't talk about referees in his interviews now. But the message is sent. You don't mess with man u. And the refs have got it loud and clear.

And didn't man u and Fergie once ask that a particular ref not be allocated any more of there games? How do you think it would go down if palace or other smaller clubs went down that road?

I'm seeing entire newspaper columns dedicated to individual errors every other weekend. The last couple have understandably been surrounding Mike Dean and before that it was Craig Pawson's failure to send Rojo off and before that, Mike Jones for the Snodgrass penalty, both working against us.

It's just shoddy, regardless of whether it 'evens itself out over the season' which it had better do towards the end when we're 18th.
