I dont care what anyone says, the top teams do get the refs advantage nearly every game, look at the game v chelsea, when the ref finally booked kante in the last twenty minutes, he pointed all over the pitch to other fouls, including the one on mcarthur,,,,in early stages,,if he saw them all, why didnt he book him straight away, then the other fouls might not have happened leading to a better spectacle for the tv public, epl and paying fans,,,,im of the opinion that when we play the top glam teams we have to as supporters be in the mindset that we are 1 nil down from kick off, as refs wont give us a fair ride,,that goes for the other 14 teams to i imagine,,getting pizzed off with it,,,specially cos have some chelski mates at work who just cant see it,,,,or dont want to!

Because he officiated our last game and he has just given an interview where he admitted he was wrong in the final. Much to the embarrassment of one poster.

It will all die down after Sunday's game.

Absolute hogwash.

Far from being "Embarrassed" I am delighted that Clattenburg showed such honesty and candour.

At the end of the day I never said he made a mistake or never made a mistake. All I did was to try and understand the decisions from a referee's standpoint.

To those who say I purposely take a different view on HOL to raise the hackles I re-iterate what I posted just after the final.A Chelsea supporter in a pub commisserated me on our defeat and brought up the two "Advantage" incidents.I told him precisely what I had posted on here - he said I was being very honest and honourable and my wife chirped in saying I was very fair.

Wasn't he on the floor, the goalkeeper stopped because of the whistle.. please do not try to defend in the indefensible

Well the defender never made much of an effort to get back as he had heard the whistle as did the goalkeeper.

A catalogue of feeble excuses. Obvious to everyone that the incidents mentioned were ghastly cockups and merely trying to pull a PR stunt by trying to look "candid". Just like a politician with his fingers in his till.

If he were actually sorry for the "mistakes" he has made he would have a) said "sorry" to the clubs and their fans affected by them and b) done so immediately and not only after he's been caught out and widely castigated.

Willo, of course, has been completely taken in.

Now, what about Jones' excuse for giving Snotarse a penalty instead of sending him off? Thought not.

Not a PR stunt at all.He was asked questions and gave honest answers.

I appreciate that this is very hard for you to accept.

I have said enough on here. Don't need any "Regurgitation" and hackneyed arguments to and fro.
My views on this subject have been well documented and I stand "Four square" behind them.

So, I know this will disappoint all of my detractors when I say that this is my last post on this thread.
Keep up your ridiculous tirade against a referee who has been awarded the prestigious No 1 status in the world.

Goodnight.

Yeah. Your naïveté is touching. Who do you think wrote the questions?

It only gives credence to your viewpoints if we believe that you talk to some senior referees.

Anyway I too talk to some senior refs and they all tell me Clattenberg is a massive c***. How's about that then?

Do you realise you have quoted Jimmy Savile? Directly?

Well they were hardly good goal scoring opportunities, denial of a penalty or perfectly good goal ruled out.
Hardly a lynching offence !
