If you read the post properly instead of using it as an excuse to post your usual trivia whether relevant or not you would have seen that the previous poster didn't say that Sam Allardyce bought him but that he knows him as he managed him at Sunderland

I read the post properly. My sentiments were that Sam didn't even buy him for Sunderland - he inherited him.

It's no myth. Look at Sunderland's main forum, they are very scathing in their opinion. These are the people who watch him week in week out. His defending is abysmal but he's good going forward.

Which was what I posted a while ago but in the minds of some I "Googled" it

I do watch players closely and listen to those who know them better than me.

In fairness though not many full backs are that special at defending and surely he can't be any worse than Kelly.

We're the Arthur over ere!

He would be a big upgrade on Fryers or Kelly. Probably better than any of our current options.

Our problem is keeping goals out, so signing a left back who cannot defend I don't believe is a wise option. He'll get you the odd goal but if you read up, Sunderland fans don't rate hit, his concentration levels are terrible and I believe there are better available left back 'defenders' out there.

Chilwell - Leicester
Gibbs - Arsenal
Shaw - Manchester United
Davies - Spurs
Taylor - Swansea (worst out of the 5, but better than PVA

Perhaps if you posted less sh*te and more content then you wouldn't be dismissed as a plagiarist and a fool. Quality, not quantity.

A Sunderland supporting friend doesn't rate him as highly as a lot seem to. His main problem seems to be consistency. Almost Souare-esque great going forward and average defender. I suppose the question is what do you want from your full backs.

WTF is that??????
WTF have you been smoking??????? "Souare great going forward"??

Suare in the Premier League: 1 assist in 3 thousand 9 hundred minutes. That's more than 40 games!! And he didn't do well in the offensive in France either.

van Aanholt in the Premier League: 8 goals and 4 assists in the last 4 thousand and 5 hundred minutes. And he was great before that in the Eredivisie too.

Back on topic, I don't see HOW Palace could transfer van Aanholt. He'd be worth at least 10 million and Sunderland will hang on to him desperately to avoid relegation.

Palace just can't pay 10 million on a left back, It wouldn't be wise. There are much cheaper options out there, just as good: Rausch from Germany would be available for about 3 million, COENTRAO WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR FREE (he's only 28, was amazing on loan at Monaco, but they didn't buy him, would just want high wages cause he comes from Madrid, but well deserves them), Jefferson from Sporting, even Luis Ibanez who is a lesser known Argentine left back and was the best in Croatia for Dinamo Zagreb and in Serbia for Red Star Belgrade and could compete well at the Premier League level (better than Souare)
. He's not appreciated in Trabzonspor (they're in turmoil) and they would let him go on a free.

These are all good choices. We certainly need a good leftsided player pdq. If we lose out to Leicester with Brady, then my personal fan's punt would be Charlie Taylor of Leeds - but Leeds unlikely to let one of their better players go since they have a decent shout of promotion themselves. Second favorite: Van Aarnholt

I might be many things but one thing I am NOT is a "Plagiarist". As for "Fool", those who know me would certainly not categorize me as such and they would know better than those on here who don't really know me from 'Adam'.

As for "Quality" over "Quantity", my dear wife has been content with both over the years !

Van Aanholt and Kone rumour. Nice to see we're starting where we desperately need.

Quote whatever stats you want, sometimes you have to watch games, not play FM in your latex boxers, drinking Diamond White scratching your nutssuddenly thinking you're Pep. Souare is not great defensively but is very good attacking. We don't play with Wing Backs remember. Also on previous posts I have made it clear Souare should be at best back up when he returns even if he is at 100%. Improvement across the pitch is what's required.
