Ridiculous.... he has never failed to keep a team up in the Prem throughout his managerial career just like Pulis.

You may not like him, or his style of football, but you cannot fault his effectiveness at galvanising teams to defend better and pick up points.

Pardew has put us in this position, not Allardyce who may not have had long enough yet to exert his influence to definitely win the game tonight, but I expect us not to lose as a minimum.

Over the next few weeks he will be able to bring in new players including a left back and instil defensive qualities that were lacking under Pardew.

Failing to beat Swansea when everyone else is having a field day would be catastrophic for morale. I do concur with people suggesting that Allardyce has been left with a tough job to do, so I am prepared to cut him some slack, but it does make his task very tricky if he can't wring 3 points out of it.

To be fair, Arsenal followed by Swansea couldn't really have been a worse two fixtures to start a managerial tenure. A team we're expected to lose to followed by a team we almost HAVE to beat. Not nice!

If you could symbolise this we'd see hundreds of 'Allardyce out' banners, white flags being waved and people jumping off the top tier of the Holmesdale.

People need to remember how we stayed here in the 1st 2 seasons in the 1st place.
