New Swansea boss Paul Clement will not be at the game tonight, leaving Curtis to take charge.
Same old Swansea then, same old result as we should manage to beat just about the poorest side in the Premiership.
I go for 2-0 in an ugly encounter.

As long as we can avoid rescuing defeat from the jaws of victory, we should be ok.

Saying something is not "must win" doesn't imply not attempting to win or winning not being desirable. Saying something is must win does imply that should you fail to win, the situation will be getting close to irredeemable.

You are of the opinion that Allardyce will be an improvement on Pardew, I believe. Given that Pardew kept us just above the relegation zone, losing several games that we would hope/ expect to win I presume you think that, fairly soon, we'll be doing better in these games; if that happens then we'll be fine.

Anyway, regardless of the semantics around "must win", lets hope it's a game that we do win and that it marks the start of another post-managerial change climb up the table. On the topic of the thread, let's go for 3-1 with Benteke getting a couple.

We've had some depressed comments on here in the last year, but I can't recall such a pessimistic response.
For the reasons that a) we still have "new manager effect" and B.F.S is a renowned survivor b) their new manager is not there (according to some)and wont be able to give a full "new manager effect" c) I saw somewhere that Laurent is out for them and d) we have players coming back (hopefully-e.g. Jimmy Mac)e) Surely Wilf will be determined to do his best before he goes away, I feel a win for us. An early goal settling the nerves etc etc. All the above is founded on the optimism I feel which surprises me as much as anyone else who knows me. May the spirit of Stockport,& Sheffield Wednesday burn bright on the pitch tonight!

Well, if we don't start putting together some wins, especially against our fellow strugglers, it won't be long before 'the situation will be getting close to irredeemable'; we already need more than a point a game to reach the relative safety of 40 points.

I'm plucking for a 2-1 win for us. Benteke and Dann.

Yannick Bolasie - Glenn Murray - Wilfried Zaha

Most exciting attacking trio at Selhurst Park in years.

Do you still think it wasn't a 'must win' game? We will probably need 24 from 18 now for safety and that's starting to look like a tall order.

We lost...... we're still 4th from bottom... so no dramas from me.

As I see it, we were hampered from the off... an injury to Scott Dann was the last thing we wanted for an already weakened defence, then Benteke having to go off and be replaced by Campbell put paid to our goal scoring aspirations.

Once again we are talking about the Referee denying us 2 penalties - both looked fair claims to me and yet we didn't get them.

Allardyce now has 2 weeks to work on morale, fitness, tactics and coaching his coaches.

Any new faces arriving will help both defensively and in attack.

Getting Mcarthur back playing is an absolute must now we've lost Zaha to the AFCON.

We need our bad luck to bottom out and get a break in our favour.

Allardyce will turn this around, but we should have got shot of Pardew much earlier than we did and we would be on the road to recovery now instead of still under performing.
