Experience and winning mentality are definitely things missing at the moment. He would bring both.

Is he too old? Probably. Could he still do a job - I suppose that would be down to the coaching staff to decide.

But the strength of the rumour appears to be he is based in Surrey and so we're close. That's it.

Very much this. Always been pretty fit so would contribute a fair bit ob the pitch but would also contribute a lot off it

the dignified don't even enter in the game

I don't ever claim to be in the know but I do know that Pardew and Parish met Lampard to try and persuade him to sign for us. Lampard stated that he wasn't sure his body could take more Premier league football.

After that meeting Lampard told somebody who I know that he was very impressed with Parish but wouldn't play for Pardew as he thinks the blokes a prick.

So now Pards has gone that might change!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Parish and Pardew bumped into Lampard and his wife and a few others at the Airport when returning from seperate trips to New York. Parish would jump at the chance to sign Lampard as it would increase brand awareness for the club. I wouldnt say no, he is better than any midfieler we have.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I may be in a minority of one but I think we woould be better of letting the seagulls have him. He's an attacking midfielder and we really need more defenisve clout.

I can see Lampard playing one or two matches - then getting injured - out for the season. If we had a decent training regime then maybe yes, but I think we'd kill him.

Sounds like more of the old Flamini - Adebayor - etc stuff. Lampard's name on back of my old England shirt though so it could be predictive text!
