Glad he's gone. It's nothing to do with the fans, and lets face it visiting Selhurst for a home game hasn't exactly been enjoyable this past year has it? I'll also be happy when some of the useless @rseholes who call themselves footballers are moved on too.

So - posters thinking AP should have stayed and who also are already slating Allardyce.
How could anyone want a Manager who decimated the plsying side of CPFC and filled it with "names".
Someone who wanted strong characters out in case they disagreed with him.
Someone who lost so many games in 2016 it is amazing he kept his job past last May.
I fail to understand where the logic is - even being dispassionate about it - how could anyone think he did not deserve the push.
If we get releagted - which I sadly think is likely now then there is one man to blame - Alan Pardew!

Not that I'm particularly pro-AP, but the vast majority of this team is the same as it was.

McArthur, Ledley, Dann, Delaney, Ward, Hennessey, Zaha, Puncheon, Kelly were all here before him and still regulars in the starting XI?

He sold Bolasie, Jedinak, Gayle and Murray for a massive profit, and of those only Bolasie was a regular with a fully fit squad?

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I was slightly saddened when pardew was sacked and yes the football he played was exciting but he had already been given too much time. His record was dreadful and we needed someone in to solidify the team. The safest option, you would think, is Big Sam. Hes only had a couple of games and is working with a team that Pardew put together and gutted, so he needs more time.

Good point well argued!
Maybe I should say that in my opinion his dealing with the playing side - in selling some - and not playing others or playing them in their rightful positions has not done us any favours.
Kelly and Ledley were not regulars under him (from memory)and Hennessey only started to play when it became apparent that MacArthy was a liability and also he got injured.
Selling Murray - who was a regular in AP's first season was a mistake - forget Gayle not wanting to leave - why buy Wickham in the first place?
Murray's goals per game ratio was good.
Selling Jedinak - i have already posted too much - just a massive mistake.
Selling Bolasie was good business but why buy a right sided player to replace him?
Who would you prefer right now - Bolasie on the left with Wilf on the right or Townsend suling and playing badly for all but a few moments?
I accept Townsend should play on the left as he is left footed but a bit of research on £12.5m and £80k per week would have been useful!
My terminology was wrong - his playing side decisions have marginalised the Team and their spirit - he got rid of players without replacing them with better ones - if they are not better then work better with what you have already got.
If we get relegated these kinds of things will be seen to have had an effect.
Managing players and getting the best out of them and having a top spirit in the team is nearly as important as tactics.
We need more "all for one and one for all" rather than the "over to you Claude" that we have right now!

No we weren't getting results, but we weren't playing bad football either. The results would have come.
The manager clearly wasn't the problem.
This 'football' is sh!te.
The players look flat, no passion, no pride.
The support is even worse. The thing we have been recognised around the world for. Is sh!te. Sorry, not sorry.
The players had just as much right to boo the supporters after that.
Disappointing all around.

Crazy to get rid of a man who had so much passion and pride for the club.

Players AND fans ALL need to give there heads a wobble.

How dare you blame the fans for turning in them!!! You think they have a right to boo us?? On their 100,000 a week payments?? I bust my b0llocks to get to home games let alone away with a young family and job commitments but I do!! I love it!! But that, on Tuesday, was a pathetic excuse for a performance and they deserved more boos!!! How dare they take the p1ss out of us like that!! Paying our hard earned to watch that sh1te!

did someone say we should stick with Pardew and the results would come?

l i ter a l ly c an no t typ e as i am l au ghin so mu ch.

Did you watch Palace at all in 2016? The results didn't come. A win here or there. Fact is we were the worst of all 92 teams in 2016 (granted if we were playing teams in League 2 that would be different, but still, what an achievement).

Swansea was a woeful game. The boos in my opinion were a few months too late, Pardew should have endured them for most games since September. I am not sure what sort of leader/ manager PArdew is but look at the state of the team. Did he ever coach defending - questionable, but he did mention that he wasnt worried about clean sheets (obvs when you look at the results). Was he a tactical mastermind, hardly, minutes from a draw at home to Man U and we throw on a striker, seconds later we are losing. Fitness, what on earth is that? So many goals conceded late on - against Swansea (yes yes, the turn around was quick) they were cream crackered from about the tenth minute.

We have been here before, we know what relegation looks like, sadly i fear it is coming (I hope not). Cant blame that on a man who has inherited this mess.

We also seem to go for the same type of manager. British, who has never really achieved much. Unless being disgraced or super injunctions are being classed as achievements nowadays.
