I'd love to see him back, but fear that he wouldn't deliver as expected. And I don't want his name tarnished. Very much this. I would take the risk though. We know hes not the most gifted of players but he certainly has what this side is missing in heart, drive, leadership and breaks up the play better than most. He would bring so much to the group.

People are saying that he wasn't in the team. That doesn't mean that he shouldn't have been in he team, because he should have been. The team was being selected by a buffoon who dropped him not because he wasn't good enough but because of political reasons. If Jedi comes back then we could survive. He's that important a player.

He wasn't fantastic under Pardew because Pardew didn't understand how to use his talents. Pardew had him chasing down balls like McArthur instead of allowing him to sit in front of the back 4 like we know he does brilliantly.

As a club we have a bit of a history of bringing back players for second spells. (Andy Gray, David Hopkins,AJ, Wilf,Derry.) It rarely seems to work. Only Wilf and Derry spring to mind s a success and I would discount Wilf as he left when very young. The old adage 'Never go back,' springs to mind. Old warriors are mostly just that, old. We need new champions now.
