He's a good player and would come rather cheap because he has hardly scored in the last year and people mostly equal goals with higher demands. But, despite not scoring, he has provided numerous assists in the minutes he played. Which is just as good.

Only someone really, really incredible would be better than him. Like Depay.

But, here's the big "BUT". Keep in mind that he's a RIGHT footed winger and that's the position Palace has covered up the best. He'd compete with Zaha for the start. He's not a contender for the left footed wingers, where Townsend doesn't really have competition in Sako and where Palace really needs strengthening.
Sure, you could play with 2 right footed players on both wings, but that wouldn't be good overall for the symmetry of the attacks and the evolution of the team.

I read an interesting article yesterday that suggested that we were never in for him but our name was used to hurry up Wolfsburg as well as increase the price.

Well yes because I did mention him ? Like I said in the summer, the fact that ssn brought it up that we might be in for him, I thought that to be enough reason to start a discussion.

Well, £34m, but they did pay over £30m for him. Also, is the move to Wolfsburg actually a done deal?
