It's very unusual for a new manager to come in when a team is not getting results and for the performance to stall or even get worse as is happening at the moment.

Sam may be the wrong guy for the job. We'll know within six or seven weeks.

I do not think Sam is the wrong man for the job, his record proves otherwise, what we currently seeing is just what a bad job AP made with his transfer dealing and team tactics which have some how changed a reasonable team to a team that is full of average individual players who only interested in themselves and not the team. As someone said earlier the team has no leader on the pitch and the defenders panic all the time they are under pressure. Sam needs support from the club to strengthen the team and from the fans to lift the team to perform better. Please give hime a chance it took Pardew a whole year to destroy this team and he cannot make a silk purse out of this lots without some new faces!

Don't think we should automatically blame Bolton.

I'm surprised Parish is not trying to screw even more cash out of the fan base by charging more.

He has done very, very little to give loyal supporters any discounts despite the multi-millions pouring into CPFC coffers.

But he has gone and I look to see where we go next. So we have BFS, the results and performance may get worse to start with as it'll take time for players to change how they play, but he will get results and the style of play won't be that bad.

I have no doubt he'll keep us up and we won't have any issues next season.

I liked the way he wanted to play... Not so keen on the way we actually did

This! Think some of the pardewians are remembering a football that was never played.

Statistics prove that our use of the long ball is one of the highest in the league. This was disguised by the fact that our possession stats had improved. Pardew's Plan A,B and C all involved passing the ball sideways/ back and forth along the defence then hitting the long diagonal.

Hardly revolutionary, I will forever associate the word transition with Pardew

He's blessed we and Steve parish love and respect Speroni or Pardew would've got his way and sent him in the cab to QPR and the other club or 2 he wanted him loaned and then forced to go permanently with no way back. All the while with either Hennessey or McCarthy making a dog's dinner of it.

People on here are confusing backing the club with backing Pardew and if you knew about this sort of unpalatable sh1t it might drum it home.

Some poor kid behind me had the crap scared out of him by the thunderflashes. A steward took him and his mum out the back to give him a drink to help calm him down.

I honestly think it's really refreshing that he's looking at the squad and giving players a run out to evaluate the squad. Something the previous manager never done.

If we can keep another clean sheet in the replay then that will add a little more confidence. But let's be fair to sam, he was left with a squad shot of confidence and that doesn't come back over night.

For those begrudging sam becuase we lost to Swansea, it was his first game managering the players that previously lost to Swansea after being managered by Pards. If Pards was so good then how come they lost that? Rather than after a few days why didn't sam have us smash erm.

I didn't want Pards to be sacked but he did, now I'm going to back the new manager...

I don't know who the right guy for the job is.

Sam might be the right guy for the job. We'll see within six or seven weeks.

Until then it's lovely to see HOLs seeming to want the manager to fail to prove them right.

Great fans!

Always behind the team just not the manager...

In my book that makes them. Idiots....

What with clean sheets not having been a priority and all.

I've no doubt Pardew sent teams out trying to win games. Just so happens that he wasn't very good at it.

Not quite. He was good at winning games. He was just rubbish at stopping defeats... Oh, I know what I mean!
