Looking at heading out to Paris for a gig at La Maroquinerie and looking for some friendly HOL advise.

Have been to Paris before but paid quite a bit to stay in a decent hotel in the middle of town. This time round, looking at doing it on a budget as will only be there 2 nights - by budget, the wife will be there so has to be fairly nice (3* at the minimum). The area looks a total dive.

Anyone been and stayed in the area? What's the cheapest travel/hotel combo you've had? So far can do for £250 for both of us, Gatwick to Paris flights and hotel less than 2 miles from venue. Is there much else in the area?
