I don't really see him as anti-establishment. Just another part of the establishment. Except that he's basically f**ked himself as far as the media go, at least the more moderate reasonable media by calling them out, rather than engaging them. We all know there is bias in the media, but that's a long way from calling entire media outlets liars. Especially when you're own capacity in that arena of truth is questionable at best. And lets be honest, Trump's relationship with the truth goes a lot further in distortion of facts than media bias does.

He may not be anti-establishment (and many of his policies and appointments point to someone who is entrenched in the establishment) but I don't think there can be any doubt that the establishment are anti him. And I can understand why that would appeal to people. I don't know whether he is incapable of conciliation with the press or just the campaign he waged during the primaries and election has meant he has not given himself a pathway that makes it compatible with his "persona" and the wishes of his supporters, but he is clearly not able to have a positive relationship with the mainstream media. He has to be antagonistic with them. He also has to be antagonistic with them as when he is then found out for lying/embellishing, it is easy to blame that on the anti-Trump MSM rather than his lying or embellishing. Only been in the job a month and the USA economy and financial indicators like the Dow Jones Industrial Average are both doing very well... and last time I looked the dollar was well up against sterling and the euro. Failing... my arse.
