1) Music. Drives me mad. Hate it. No I don't want to listen to other people's noise pollution. Radios on at work/hospital departments/GP surgeries/boy racer cars etc. Ban it before I* explode with earworms; 2) Low Frequency Noise, which may be a killer, whether you can hear it or not: the WHO recommends a maximum of 30db. Average EU urban level? 70 db. Average overnight level in my flat? 90db. Sleep without meds? Impossible. Environmental Health? Effing useless. *Musician of 50 years standing.

I'm the opposite. I can barely hear when people are talking. Drives my family mad as I know I should get a hearing aid. Great to abuse though, door bell rings and I wait until someone gets up before asking if someone rang the bell.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I'm not sure anyone really enjoys the sound of other people eating. I worked with a bloke who seemed to do it on purpose. Ate with his gob open and make loud smacking noises when he chewed but (even worse) went 'mmmmmm' before every mouthful. Someone had to had a word with him. My step dad likes to drum his cutlery on his plate when he's finished eating. That's massively grating too.
