its obvious to see that the players dont like or want to play for sam.

Probably because he doesn't want to be their mate.

That said you raise an interesting point about people being stubborn,

So that is Newcastle Fans,
West Ham fans
Charlton fans
a majority of Palace fans

we can also throw in a few Player's wives as well for good measure,

maybe, just maybe Pardew had reached that point of history repeating itself. I desperately wanted him to succeed, but there is a pattern developing. Any where he goes and every time he has had a chance to build his team he seems to cock it up, having had a good start using someone else's players. It might be because he didn't have support, but here he did and he removed it. This wasn't a club that didn't want him - this was a club that did.

All the talk of "working on defence", "won't do that again" etc - he talked himself out of a job. If it was down to the players not performing, then that is his job as a leader to make them perform.

At what point do the "stupid majority" as you are terming them just become the "majority" who have seen the light.

If you can keep your head when all those around you are losing theirs, then you probably haven't understood the severity of the situation.

Sunderland's form didn't pick up straight away under Allardyce but it did after Jan. Yes he did have longer time there and this might be a tougher task. He has already stated that it is probably going to the wire with us and that looks highly likely with our team at the moment.

What's your point? The quicker we got rid of him the better IMHO. Pardew won 6 league matches in the whole of 2016!

the top half of our team were in outstanding form before he was sacked and we were very narrowly beaten by citeh &. utd.

now were just not competing at all. last weekend people were saying it was a good result drawing against a league 1 team and we would build on that. it wasnt a good result it was dreadful, as was watford/arsenal/swansea & today.

plain & simple, sams not getting 50% of what pardew was out of these players.

Put the full squad out for the Bolton game - we need a win desperately.

And don't tell me they can't play Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday. They need the matches - they just don't look fit.

First match 5th October 1974 - not a good day!

Sorry I have to disagree with you there that's just not true and even if it was, you can't win games by ignoring discipline, fitness and defense, which was shown by the results.

I'm not sure if BFS was totally the right choice but Pardew had to go.

At least under Pardew we were beginning to play some sort of passing football and scored quite freely although conceding silly goals - now we are just conceding !

Really? Keep playing like that and it'll be all over by Easter.

Because he is trying to turn the team around. All managers start from the back when they inherit a leaky defence, they aren't all his choice of player and they simply can't defend for whatever reason. We were terrible under Pardew over 12 months. All the good memories and positives for me were completely undone for me by the time he left.

I started doubting him the moment he made those comments about Warnock after a few wins, utterly classless and rather ironic given the year that followed them. I am not sure whether Sam is the man but I would never want to see Pardew back as our manager.

Spot on, we were ranked 92/92 in 2016 which means form wise we were not only the worst team but also we had the worst performing manager (AP), the team AP built was in the main made up of players who could not get first team foot at the existing clubs because they deemed not to be up to standard by their then Managers, so even had sick notes to prove it yet AP still got them in and then decided he was going to be a top six manager who did not have to defend as conceding goals was not a problem he was concerned about. He should have gone at the end of last season as the form between last Christmas and May was bad enough to sack him yet for some reason SP was blinded by a cup final took his eye off the ball and hey ho! we now in this position not Sam'S fault AP/SP have to hold their hands up to this one!

He looked at our squad and thought yes i can do something with these. Then he met and started working with them to realise what a gutless and lily livered bunch they are. When Pulis came our players were not as talented but they were prepared to work their socks off and were full of character but this hopeless lot are faint hearts
