I did say it could get a lot worse if we unsettle things by sacking Pardew, but what do I know?? At least before the change we looked like a competitive team that could score but was leaking goals, now we're just a shambles!!
And we haven't got 17 games to save ourselves, we've got 11, because 6 of the games we've got no chance of any points!!

Well if you are going to look at it like that then so have the other 3 teams below us.
Having said that I do not now believe we can turn this around.

I wasn't at the game, so I can't comment.

Surely though, the players who have been so spirited before can't have had a personality change.

I get the impression that Delaney, Ward and co are decent and honest professionals.

Are they lions led by donkeys?

We need a couple of wins and I think we'll see a completely different team. How we get those wins is another matter though seeing as we haven't managed to beat anyone except a half asleep Southampton.

These players aren't suddenly terrible but I think the terrible year we've had has sapped all of their confidence. We desperately need someone to come in and give us a lift on the pitch, whether it's Remy (who looks keen) or whether it's a new player. West Ham won today in large part because of Carroll who was immense. As an opposing fan you hate him but aside from scoring a wonder goal he was back defending, winning balls in midfield and generally dragging his team along. Currently we seem to lack someone who has the confidence or ability to do that.

Personally I would try and ship out Townsend as something is not right there and try and bring in someone else. I still believe with service Bentenke will come good and I also think he could work well with Remy.

Sunderland were much worse than us last season when Sam came in so I'm not giving up yet.

Well, I thought Big Sam would keep us up, but from today's performance well, he needs a miracle or two! There seemed to be no energy or belief in the squad. Whether this is a result of Pardew's reign or not I'm not sure, but Big Sam hasn't won the players over.
I for one don't want the Palace to go down, but again now fear that with today's result the gap is now beginning to open up and we are in the drop zone.

I'm afraid Guardiola would struggle to keep this lot up! Overpaid and overrated IMHO.

The writing was on the wall as soon as we got into the FA cup final as it was for the previous two teams who reached the finals (hull and Aston Villa ) ironically one of benteke's ex teams , well fancy that

As I've said before. WE NEED A LEADER. A John Terry type. And when we find him we must get a decent ball-holding midfield 'general' Just can't go on like this.

1 point to Boro and still not in the drop zone. Predictor this week gave us 17th with 36 points. We won't finish above 17th but even with Hull winning today we may well finish there. Hull have a horrific run coming up, Sunderland in total disarray on and off the pitch, Swansea looking only the team to keep up with us. Looking at those 3 we will only have ourselves to blame if we do drop.

Let's try to be positive. It was a very slight improvement on the Swansea performance. As many of the older fans have said (and I've supported Palace for over 55 years) here we go again - let's screw up a good thing.

Benteke doesn't look at all interested, Townsend lacks vision, we could go on.

Wasn't Cabaye meant to be this, although I thought he was the attacking free kick specialist midfielder ? Doesn't seem to fit any of these roles.
