Bring back Pardew

Actually it's hard to imagine any Premier League club willing to employ Pardew. While it's fair to say that one point from 4 games under SA is a poor return, he has one hell of a job on his hands. The squad lacks the sort of collective character that will survive a relegation battle. We have no midfield ' enforcer ' , and nobody up front that can actually hold the ball up. As a consequence the back 4 look shot to pieces. Allardyce was brought in to keep us up, but I wonder if there was a school of thought that said he is also someone that could mount a promotion challenge next season were the worst to happen.... The fact is that with Pardew it always looked as though Palace were about to score (and did on many occasions). When he left I think our goal difference was -4, now it is -10, with only two goals scored from five matches. All the has changed is that the attack has been blunted while the defence is no better (possibly worse. If there had to be a change it should have been to an attack minded manager, who could work on defence. Pardew coming back is not going to happen but SA is not the answer. We may have to get relegated before everyone understands that.

For the people who wanted Pardew to stay please see below. He has bred failure into the club and it will be a major job to rebuild the mess he has left. Under Pardew results were terrible for a year. Took us to a cup final granted but then dropped puncheon for a player that had been out injured for Months. He failed to address the issue of weak areas in the squad, left back, goal keeper, attacking midfielder. He then sold our defensive midfielder and only height in midfield and replaced him with the desperate last minute signing of Flamini (who he failed to play). Bought a replacement left winger who only wants to play on the right! Happy to make statements such as "clean sheets are not his priority" or "we have directors at club who know nothing about the game". Only decided to do defensive training when the team came to him and said that they needed to do it. Following concentration on the defensive side we concede 5 goals to the bottom team. General poor record of transfers, having control of the biggest transfer budget this club has ever seen. The list goes on and on!!! Yet people still think he was the man to turn it around. If I was woeful in my job for a year I'd hate to think of the mess I would have left behind for the next mug to pick up! It's going to be a battle now! Under Pardew results were terrible for a year.

Took us to a cup final granted but then dropped puncheon for a player that had been out injured for Months.

He failed to address the issue of weak areas in the squad, left back, goal keeper, attacking midfielder.

He then sold our defensive midfielder and only height in midfield and replaced him with the desperate last minute signing of Flamini (who he failed to play).

Happy to make statements such as "clean sheets are not his priority" or "we have directors at club who know nothing about the game".

Pardew legacy for this club is that he has almost wrecked it single handed, he has invested in the worst bunch of misfits who were not wanted at their previous clubs, because basically they were not good enough or were lazy, he has destroyed a club with a good defence to one now that panics every time the ball in sent in to the penalty area, we have no on field leadership, he should have been fired at the end of last season but SP judgement was clouded by a trip to Wembley. I'm if SP acted when he should have we would be comfortable mid table by now instead of being in the mire!
