Remember during our promotion season, you could go on twitter and you could see Rambo, Delaney, Moritz, Jedinak etc posting pictures just doing simple things like having a coffee together in a cafe.

That kind of team spirit / bonding just doesn't exist in the PL once big signings and loadsamoney comes on board for a club like Palace.

We were actually ticking along quite nicely before the Americans came on board with money. We might not have stayed in the PL forever but at least the heartbeat of the club would remain.

Really, is promotion to the PL really that great?

Promotion to the PL is great but......
Whilst not wanting to go down, for me the PL is:
* Overpaid players
* Ridiculously high transfer fees
* Badly officiated (Stupid that Video replays are not used)
* Constant cheating by the very best players. As well as the rest..... Snodgrass
It's possible to survive but with that comes a regular kicking from the same teams (So good that Leicester bucked the trend) and an acceptance that we spend a fortune and more just for the privilege of being here.
That's the price we pay.

He is on loan from Bournemouth.

I agree with you though that there is a confidence factor

One of the highlights yesterday showed his lack of willingness to run back and scrap. Luckily we didn't concede. Where is the player who scrapped with Ward forcing an error and then powered on and calmly planting the ball beyond the goalie ? If he had stayed at Villa and shown some fight there last season he might of looked better for us. That said Townsend did show this for Newcastle and he has been a disappointment as well.

Trevor Aylott.
If we only paid a pound for him it was a pound too much.

Flanagan was beyond sh1te.

and then to add insult to injury we ended up with Francis as well.
