On a big pitch, just made for wide players, he was truly woeful yesterday. I don't think we have seen anything like what he is capable of, and I think if he could turn the clock back he would have stayed at Newcastle. If we get a sensible offer for him, I say sell.

I believe that Townsend has to look at himself first and foremost and seriously question whether he has delivered to both transfer fee and weekly wages. The same applies to any other player for any other club. Palace is no flouncy prawn sandwich brigade club but one that speaks from the heart in terms of Board; Club and Fans. I WANT to see Townsend succeed but both passion and commitment to succeed fundamentally lies within the player himself. Repeat message to rest of team as underperformance levels this season have been bordering upon criminal...

Further discussions underway it seems. With Schlupp on left, and Wilf on right, we dont need Townsend , so sell and redeploy for players like Brady we actually do need.

thank gawd. Let him go. wilf on the right, schlupp left, and we have that youngster we just took back from loan, temp forgot his name, right winger. Id say we are one more left sided play short in as far as wingers go. Downings deal went quiet and that was supposed to be a cheap buy/loan wasn't it?
