But as you say Schlupp is not a left-back by trade.

We are not an attractive proposition. Relegation clauses probably required. Wage limits may be too low for the likes of Jenkinson. All very worrying.

I think the problem is the transfer window as opposed to an open market throughout the year . Players only have a couple of months in the summer and January to get the best contracts for them . Offers early in the window have to be pretty persuasive to get a deal done and why there is not a lot of activity early in the month . As we get nearer deadline day the clubs and to some extent the players start to get desperate and the transfers start to be completed . Deadline day of course though an entertaining spectacle sees clubs losing all sense and players agents demanding far beyond their worth . Its a game of poker . We just have to hope Mr Parish is a good player And we still need a striker
