A fee up to £12m is fair for a top class Championship player in today's market. Lookman, McCormack, Bamford etc.

Difference with those is Schlupp has at least played in the Premier League and done ok.

Look at the prices people have paid over the last few years, it's not outrageous. Heck, we sold Wilf for a potential £15m and that was five years ago.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Yes I totally agree with this.

Versatile and has pace but he lacks composure in front of goal and on occasions he is not in control of the end product.I mentioned this before on HOL and some Leicester supporters agreed with my assessment.

You could be talking about Bolasie who was valued at £20+

If you think Bolasie was erratic then wait until you see Schlupp !

And I could also be talking about a number of players in park football !

But of course I really hope that Schlupp does really well and becomes a real hero at our club.

Hopefully he will do well at Left Back, and play better than your mate Cabaye.
How much did he cost ?

wow...now your comparing the signing of 2 completely different players to make some kind of point...nice one.

i dont even need to form a well written reply as it doesnt warrant one

Lookman was snapped up by Charlton after they accepted an invitation from the London rep side for a friendly - think he had been playing for Waterloo FC.They asked us first but we couldn't fulfil the fixture !

You've lost the argument, now you're just being silly,I've seen both players I would take Schlupp every time.

fees are a bad of of determining skill level. Other factors affect the price you have to Pay to land a player;
Length Of remaining contract
Importance to the current team
desparation of buying club.

We are getting a left sided player - which we Desperately need, who can play in either Of the 2 positions we need a player for. It will also mean either we have a more balanced midfield, OR Ward can move back to his more natural RB position and we have a better defensive unit.

We probably paid more than his supposed 'market value' but to us, he could turn out to be great value for money.

Not a question of losing any argument. All I have done is express my genuine and honest opinion and of course in terms of players there will always be agreements and dis-agreements amongst supporters.

As I said I hope Schlupp does really well for obvious reasons.

Exactly ,the left back position has been a major problem all season, and that is where Schlupp will play untill Pape hopefully returns.

I totally agree that it has been a major problem but whilst Schlupp has played at left-back he is not a left-back by trade and we really need someone there who is a proper left-back. I note that Swansea snapped up Olsson but I think he has worked with Clement before somewhere. In our position we don't need round pegs in square holes.
