I think Townsend is the most obvious ' out ' but if we get Milivojevic then it wouldn't surprise me if Cabaye was a late departure.

We were in & negotiating in the £25-30m area for Benteke before Everton put an offer in for Yala. If the £30m had already been earmarked for transfers then we never did spend what we got for Yala - Add in Townsend & Gayle & our net spend was around £9m wasn't it? That being the case, there was already £20m+ in the pot. Not renewing contracts on several players freed up a fair amount of wages too. Edited by Nobbybm (31 Jan 2017 8.42am)

Has he arrived for a medical or not? My latest reliable information is that he played for Olympiacos and scored on Sunday. I would be glad to see him with us, but I have some doubts. We are strongly linked with so many players: M. Sakho, Hogan, Caceres, (Samba). Very common recently: my vision is blurred... Sorry for that. Do you have any news from Beckenham or from Sainsbury's car parking? Perhaps Luton or Heathrow. Thanks.

I imagine Benteke, Remy, Tomkins are being paid quite a bit but it doesn't eat up all funds and prevent us adding to the squad some more after letting Gayle, Jedi, Mariappa, £67k Adebayor go. Parish and Pardew made similar mistakes to January 2016, only in different positions. Could saved a bundle sacking Pardew without a contract extension. Edited by Rudi Hedman (31 Jan 2017 9.51am)
