As we know we are in a real relegation scrap and it will go one of two ways as this is Palace after all. Complete dog fight to the end of the season and a last moment victory to preserve our status or dead and buried by the end of February.

But, if we are to get out of this mess, who do you expect to be dragged in to the dog fight from above?

Clearly there is Sunderland, Hull ourselves and Swansea but it rarely stays like that.

Personally I see Swansea steering clear and picking up, Sunderland becoming marooned and us Hull and a couple of others trying to stay afloat. I think Watford and Bournemouth may get drawn in with Middlesborough.
Even by the end of February I can see the dog fight going from the current 4 teams to as many as 8 which could even include the likes of Burnley and dare I say it Leicester.
In my 40+ years of following both Football and Palace, it's very rare a team from nowhere doesn't not get sucked in..

Southampton anyone?

onwards and upwards, live everyday as if its ya last

That's not how it went the last time we were relegated is it? Safety after the penultimate game, thanks to a Ventola goal and relegated on the last day, due to a Kiraly flap.

My view is that we should concentrate on accumulating points, keeping clean sheets and forgetting about relying on other teams to be worse than us.

Or Leigertwood giving away a needless free kick.

Mids,Sunderland and Hull to go down. My gf is a swansea supporter and ive watched a fair bit of them this year, they are a good side that could be fixed easily, they look fixed now.
We have the same thing, the kind of setup big sam has in mind will beat lower sides and pick up a few lucky ones against big sides. We made Everton completely harmless and the points are coming...

At the start of the season I put a tenner on Sunderland, Hull & Leicester to go down if that helps?

It's a mathematical certainty that if Palace, Hull and Sunderland keep losing, no other teams will be sucked in. Which of those three will stop losing?
