I have just seen that from this season it is the home club that decides the price of FA Cup matches from round one to 1/4 final matches when it used to be the 'clubs drawn together would mutually agree ticket prices for the match, and if they couldn’t reach agreement the FA would act as arbiter and set the prices'. 'The intention of this change, I understand, was to stop smaller clubs trying to ‘cash in’ excessively when drawn away at Premier League clubs, by insisting that the high ticket prices be charged even though they may not be the most attractive of opponents'. As Man Utd have what is call 'Automatic Cup Scheme’ (ACS), where if the season ticket holder doesn't buy a ticket for domestic and European competitions they will miss a league match, so they can charge whatever they like knowing their fans are under pressure to buy a ticket. (Introduced in 2007). Of course now the away teams' fans have to pay these prices.

Sorry if this is 'old news' but I have only just noticed this.

What maybe hard to prove is what system means cheaper prices for the fans.
