Its fast becoming a competition for mid table teams, if your in with a big shout of automatic promotion or in a relegation battle then it tends to play second fiddle to the league. That's not the clubs disrespecting the FA cup just the financial reality of professional football today.

It would appear that the FA Cup really matters for the lower division teams who relish games against higher league opposition even if those 'Higher' teams put out fringe players.

But for PL teams who wish to make changes, it does give them the opportunity to 'Blood' some of their younger players.Supporters moan when younger players are not given a chance but when they do, they moan that their team has fielded a 'Weaker' side !

Bored is the key word. We were predictable, frustrating but at least exciting under Pards near the end. Now we're just predictable, dull and s*** all over the pitch. It'll never be a chore going to watch Palace (I've supported some awful Palace sides over the years but still enjoyed my experience every week) however given the resources and players at our disposal it's beginning to get close. Big names doing f*** all, I could stay in and watch England on the TV if I fancied that. Very little interest from me under BFS. Show me a glimmer of hope, fight, improvement and I may start to enjoy (and practice) being a ''supporter'' again.

It's been said before, but to reiterate Schlupp has had very little game time. The cup was a good way to get a game for people like Schlupp and Remy to build up match fitness. It's just an unfortunate injury, can't blame BS for trying to get players sharp.

I'm sorry but it was a chore going to watch Palace under Pardew, I'd hardly call my season ticket value for money!!! Despite the odd win we lost consistently mainly due to lack of tactical nous and failing to close out games.

This sums it up beautifully, however I did go to fa cup game yesterday and wondered why, I thought I may see a glimmer of hope for our league future performances but didnt see any.

..and now we close out games irrespective of whether we're losing, drawing or winn...oh hang on. How efficient and well drilled we are.

Liverpool 1 wolves 2
Southampton 0 arsenal 5
Milwall 1 Watford 0
Fulham 4 hull 1 (hull with a pretty strong side and their wonderful new manager)
Makes our result quite respectable. ..

But it is hadly surprising that we made quite a few changes - one suspects the supporters of Newcastle and Brighton who travelled 'Away' could hardly have been surprised either.
I'm afraid the so called 'Magic' of the FA Cup is fast diminishing.

I agree Willo, money means that many team prioritise the league over the cup.
Money has ruined football, sport and the world

Admittedly we haven't hit the ground running, but you can't expect instant miracles ,it has been a year (yes a year!!) of poor results.

Everton was promising and we didn't take the Man city game serious. Obviously the next couple of games are key, we need to start picking up results.

I just don't understand the negativity towards Sam, especially when people have been so pateint with Pardew over the last year.

That is very true . In our case I think the vast majority of us are not disappointed to be out of the cup as it could mean our PL survival. At least we had the fun of Wembley last season.

Last season we were in a good position to go for the cup this time around we are not. I would be more angry if i supported Watford Liverpool or Bournemouth who should have gone for it lots of mid table teams have been knocked out playing weakened teams. To be relegated in a poor quality season like this would be unforgivable. ps is Klopp whos team were booed off at half time a rich mans AP.
