Been doing a little swotting up on our signing as he was the only player we bought in I wasn't familiar with. He's joining us off the back of an incredibly impressive looking 3 years in the Greek league with Olympiakos. The league champs have only lost twice in the last 2 seasons! He's been a ever-present selection for club over this period (barring a couple suspensions) and was the club captain this season. The 6 league goals he's scored this term have been fairly varied, 2 headers, 2 shots from outside the box and 2 direct freekicks. This is the winner he scored in his last game for Olympiakos on Sunday: [Link] He has started for Serbia in their last 6 competitive matches, playing most recently against Wales. I also noticed on the welcome to CPFC video that he speaks pretty good English and the only downside I can think of is that he doesn't have a Curcic beard. Disciplinary record not brilliant, 17 cautions and a send off at Olympiakos (over 3 seasons) but by all accounts pretty versatile. Should fit nicely in front of the big 3 at the back. Olympiakos picked him up for around 600,000 euros and we played about 16,000,000 euros !
