He splashed the cash and got some deals done, and hats off to him for that. It was a bit muddled and amateurish if we really did chase 30 players inside a January window, but he stuck to his guns on Jenkinson and if he really was asking for 70k a week that was a good shout. We strengthened in some important areas and Parish recognized that spending 35 mil or so to protect the 100s of millions at stake in the premier league made good business sense. He backed the manager, and he hasnt always done that. I think now is the time to move on. I dont know if Parish will ever be an elite level chairman, in terms of his decision making and leadership, but hes what we have got.

What makes you think that?

My one major gripe is that I find it strange that as a Palace fan he sold more than half the club to some yanks when it wasn't necessary. And for not that much money considering the many hundreds of millions that have gone through the accounts these last few years and for no apparent gain to the club itself.

I understand your sceptism but I think it's about time we took a chance and roll the dice here.

As others have asked, who hasn't he backed?

He is chairman of the 28th richest club in the world (according to Deloitte)in what many consider to be the best / richest league in the world. That without being particularly rich himself, In football terms. That makes him pretty elite to me. Or do you mean that actually we he will never match Chelsea, Manure, City and several other moneybags clubs?

Absolutely!
It's what I've been banging on about.
I can't speak highly enough about him.

Have you ever seen that episode where Alan Partridge meets his biggest fan?

I have nothing but admiration for SP and his management team.
I have been going to Place since the 70's and been through the ups and downs but our biggest threat was going under/Administration and for SP and his team to get us out of that and stable and with some money in the bank takes guts and lots more.

Mentalist!

That's probably how I come across.
I'm not a mentalist. Although some say otherwise.
I'm just delighted, after all these gruelling years of support, that we've finally got a chairman worthy of us all.

Cannot fault his passion and there can be no complaints with regard to spending money and getting quality signings. This is all about the team and self belief now. He's done all he can.
