Read somewhere that DD has said he doesn't want to play again ... not sure how true this is? Can anyone confirm?

If that is true, it actually doesn't surprise me.

He's an integral part of our journey to where we are now. He's a man that says what he thinks and wears his heart on his sleeve and has genuine emotions towards this club and its fans. Yesterday may well have just sent him over the edge. What he's seen over the last two years, are big parts of what made this club over the last 4 years dismissed from the club without a second thought. Players like him who wear their hearts on their sleeves. I'm talking Jedinak, I'm talking Speroni, even the likes of Ramage to some extent. They may not be the greatest footballers, but gave everything for every single match. Now he has to watch players take the money and not put a shift in and our true support has diminished as well.

In yesterdays 18, I would keep 5 of them and bin the rest including the manager. One of the 5 is DD. I don't care how good or bad he is. What he contributes in terms of passion and desire more than makes up for any individual skill.

So we would have lost by 5, 6 or more if he wasn't on the pitch yesterday. Really?

Whoever this was that did this deserves a lifetime ban. I was angry but what would compel you to do that? f***ing idiot.

Also out of all the poor performances why would you dig out Damo? I'd fancy my chances in a tear up with others before I picked on a 6'3" mad Irish man!!

Should've gone for the tall Welshman. Either of them actually.

One of them a chicken and out of his depth and the other one's crime is just that he's out of his depth.

You think Benteke puts in more of a shift than Delaney does?

Put it this way, if it wasn't for the likes of him we wouldn't even be in the PL.

Well one thing's for sure, if you threw a punch at Hennesey he certainly wouldn't catch it!

Professional footballers are never going to be as passionate about a club as the fans are. The fans often support their team all of their lives. Players (and managers and owners) come and go. A player gets transferred and suddenly he's kissing the badge and spouting the usual platitudes to the cameras. Similarly, the fans boo and jeer players they used to cheer when they move club. But what we should expect is that professionals give 100% when they play. Wages should be linked to appearances and results to incentivise them more.

Has anyone heard an actual Allardyce comment on why he took Delaney off at half time?
