I walked out at half time many years ago when we were 3-0 down to QPR. If I remember correctly we got it back to 3-2 and Phil Barber (most fan's least favourite player) had a chance to make it 3-3 but I was back in the pub in Lewisham by then.

It seemed today that PVA was affected by the chants...
Remember the 5 0 Wimbledon drubbing, as a fan ran across the pitch and landed a punch in the directors box.
Crewe at home in the fog was 3 0 but showed fight in the second half.

PVA wasn't near them till the 2nd half. Was a though of mine since Tuesday. They then had PVA, Townsend and Allardyce all within earshot although how you can abuse someone for wanting to manage England is odd. Radio thought they would. I couldn't hear anything although they might have.

Would like to have seen the punch from fan in dir area. Remember the result. Wasn't around then.

One of the funniest things getting beaten by a string of sh1t was I think Scannell pushing a Scvnthorpe player towards the tunnel from the old away section by the Arfur towards the tunnel. The game was over, Scvnt player was wasting time, Scannell showed his care for the club who brought him through and shoved him along. Or did he et sent off? Someone marched him towards the tunnel to show what a fraud he was.

I remember when we were relegated from the old 1st (1973) and the first game in div 2 was against Notts county who had been promoted from the 3rd

I'm pretty sure we were 4-0 down at ht before pulling one back in the second half

And we still need a striker

4-1 at half-time, New Year's Day 1990 away to Arsenal. Scorer Pardew. Is the nearest I can think of.
Best 1st half I can think of is leading Grimsby 5-0 at half time 1996.
There were no goals in the second half's of those games either.

You might be right here. I remember a heavy defeat by Notts Co when I was younger, but I thought it was up there?

That was the one I was trying to remember, was it 0-4 at HT though?

This is 72-73 all over again. Bert Head replaced by Allison;buying players like Possee who looked like upgrades- but still relegated and then relegated again the following year!
Those that fail to learn from history are condemened to repeat it.
Despite everything, we have to hope it is still not too late to turn it around.

I've supported Palace for 65 years and I can't recall a halftime 0-4 score line. Maybe it happened in the early 1950s, but I've got neither the time or the inclination to root round in the record books and check.

I was at the infamous 9-0 on October 1989, and from memory it was 3-0 at halftime, although I can't be sure.

What I do know is that I was a whole lot unhappier driving home yesterday than I was driving back down the M6 in 1989.

I have many happy and unhappy memories of Palace over those 65 years, but yesterday was as bad it's it's been.

Big Mal had the pitch especially widened ahead of that game for our superior team/devastating wingers to tear the opposition apart (or words to that effect). And we had the hype of special nicknames introduced for every player. And we got thumped. If it wasn't so painful, it was comical. He then had the pitch markings narrowed again before the next game!

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..
