Benteke Played up front on his own, won countless headers, linked play and was unlucky not to score IMO. He wasn't responsible for giving Sunderland a two goal lead through piss poor goalkeeping and midfield play. Our Welsh wonders take the credit for that. After that the team fell apart. Lack of confidence kills sports teams and this team doesn't need too much to go wrong to knock them back to square one after a year of not winning. Benteke hasn't been our problem this year, rank bad defending has.

Joel Ward not relishing the wingback role and suffering for it. Our midfield needs a huge bolstering, someone who can keep the ball and put it about, yeah thats JM right ? so WTF is he on the wing !!!! Benteke has been a huge disappointment, hes very static and predictable, NEVER comes near post, the defenders turn up 5 minutes before he does. When Delaney went off ant Townsend came on, and we went back to 4-5-1 and then later 4-4-2 the midfield looked much better, not great, but not abysmal either. THese players cannot play a 3-1-5-1 system. Having said that, Sakho CAN play this system rather well and if Luka is the defensive monster my greek friend tells me he is, then y'all can stop booing. I just dont understand the boo's. How is that helping ?
