Charlton away last game of the season was my all time worse!

As all what I would've put have already been mentioned, can I add 0-3 home to Brighton around Easter time in 1981, that was quite devastating, obviously losing to them, but I think we'd given ourselves a glimmer of hope of avoiding the drop by winning our previous home game, but this defeat, although didn't actually send us down, it as good as did, and helped also relegation threatened weed survive.

I think my top 5 have already been mentioned.

Don't forget that in that cup final replay we were denied a stonewall penalty in the first half.

The day we sold Ian Wright was also pretty bad for me - I had a feeling we were heading downwards after that.

Saturday was right up there though - Didn't know what to do with myself at half time - Wandered around in a daze for 10 minutes then had to go back and watch the second half, just to see if it had all been real.

My single worst moment came in the days of Big Mal,God bless him.
It was in the mid '70's,Palace were in the old 2nd division,it was the last game of the season down at Cardiff, and we had to win to keep from being relegated to the 3rd division .
We took the lead but the game ended 1-1,it was a night match and a long way home, and I felt terrible.

I was there (as I was on Saturday) and both games had the same feeling of unreality. Both results were so poor that it's probably best to forget them and move on.

I was there too and had a stupid Brummie girl jumping up and down next to me when they scored their third. I prefer to remember the consecutive 6-0 victories the first of which was at St Andrews on the day of the Bradford fire.

And I believe we hit the post in the last minute if my memory serves me correct?

Damn. Should have checked first before posting as my memory is playing tricks on me. We lost to Grimsby on the day of the Bradford fire.

My worst 2 moments at Palace [ not necessarily bad

performances, just hit me hardest ]

were both cup matches.

1965 Qtr Final lost to Leeds at home 0-3
Leeds were a top Div 1 team and favourites, just I had convinced my childish self, we were going to win.

1976 Semi Final Lost Southampton

Years later, it still hurts.

I was at the Southampton semi at Stamford Bridge.
I had been to the previous rounds at Leeds and Sunderland, and lived to tell the tale, and that defeat was a very bitter pill.

Losing 5-4 to Swansea was pretty bad and I'm far more annoyed by the last 0-4 than I am about most of the other matches mentioned.

Palace fans were good humoured about the 9-0 at Liverpool - we stayed behind chanting we're going to score in a minute for about 15-20 mins.

The Wimbledon away (home) 5-0 was pretty bad - the only Palace match I have ever left early (and I missed the last goal).

The Claridge goal was pretty horrendous and it took me a while to get over that but I think it has felt worse since we used to have to put up with him on the Football league show.

The behaviour of some of the Palace "fans" at the Sunderland game would be up there as a worst moment.

Huddersfield 7 Palace 1 was pretty dire. As was Wigan 5 Palace 0.
