Seriously, what is this story doing on the first page of this site.

I have zero interest in Cabaye's international career.

Let's be frank here, he's been a terrible buy and is fortunate to be in our team, never mind his national side.

I thought we were getting our version of Gylfi Sigurdsson or even, believe it or not, a Robert Snodgrass.

You know, a real schemer, someone knocking goals in from free kicks and outside the box.

YC has been a million miles away from that sort of player and maybe the link below about his troubled private life explains why.

He doesn't deserve a call up France has much better players it shows this in Euros.

We didn't pay that much money for him so it was worth the gamble but if the stories are true someone came in for him Jan then we should of got rid of him.

I always said he was past his best but he really is a player that only works in better team like say Arsenal he would work with their style.

A tad myopic. As a general rule for a player to be picked for his national team he has to be performing at club level. Particularly if he has been dropped.

So, if we are to get out of the s*** we need our players to start putting in some damn good performances.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

I suppose Deschamps gives a monkeys. But I firmly believe our real drop in form coincided with Cabaye coming to Palace. Remember those great free kicks Punch scored? Remember the one against Man City? And AP puts Cabaye on free kicks on reputation alone. A few years later and Punch is rubbish. Cabaye never worked, we should have moved him on in January. Looks like he actually wanted to stay though so stop us getting relegated. Remains to be seen if he is helping or hurting that effort.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

My God, so now it's all down to Cabaye.
Punch is out of form all on his own, just like Dann, Hennessey, Ledley, Ward, Delaney and s*** loads of squad players.
I personally think he's been nowhere near as bad as many and maybe the biggest problem for him is not having anywhere near enough quality backing him up in midfield.
Still, the scapegoat mentality is strong at Palace right now. I hope we stay up and he stays.

The hatred towards Cabaye from Palace fans is embarrassing. Doesn't score 30 yard screamers? Oh ok must be s*** then

Agree with the above. He always puts in a shift and is quite clearly the best (if not, then certain right up there) technical player in the squad. He hasn't hit the heights of Newcastle yet, but I still think he's a top 6 player and we're lucky to have him.

Cabaye is a player of genuine Premier League calibre, and as we struggle to put out a full side of Premier League quality, I am happy he didn't go anywhere and actually chose to stay and fight the fight to avoid relegation.
I would be delighted if he regained his place in the French national team as it would mean he had been playing well for the Palace.
