I'm in no way Big Sams biggest fan but you Pardew lovers need to ask yourself an honest question, do you genuinely believe we'd be in this position if Big Sam had the whole of pre season with this group of players and the same money available? If you do then fine, but in my eyes there is no way on earth we would - might've been a bit boring and uninspiring but the biggest mistake was letting Pardew go on for so long. The results from now until the end of the season don't change that fact.

When was we in the bottom three under pardew ?

Go back and read my posts and I did actually, we was always competitive under pardew and never outclassed. Okay his results justified his sacking and allardyce was the obvious replacement so you can't blame the board. But I said at the time watch what happens if it doesn't work out under allardyce, how many fans will be enjoying the 1-0 losses which we don't even look like trying to attempt to win. Anyone that thinks we look even the slightest better under allardyce is clueless.

Then that's fair enough. I can't begrudge someone consistent in their views, but I'm equally as consistent and I think given not just the results but the complete oblivion of organisation under Pardew, that doesn't make me deluded. Its so easy to just do the whole "where's the Pardew out brigade now" but in reality, what was the alternative? Ok it looks as if it may not work out but whether people wanna admit it or not, this is Pardews team, this is what he built over a consistent period of time. Sam appears to be TRYING to get some form of organisation back and build from there, but it all seems too little to late - at least we tried.

I wanted AP out and welcomed SA, but he really has done nothing for us. I know it hasn't been long, but Silva and Clement have had less and both their teams at least look different. Would we of had more points under AP, we'll never know, but we've had a few winnable games now and Sam has lost them all. We still let in too many goals, but now we don't score any either.
Also the AP left such a mess bulls*** is just that, bulls***. He left a good squad that was just down on belief, confidence and organisation, not an insurmountable job surely?
Some of his decisions have been bizarre also. Not playing Remy, subbing Wilf, playing Macca wide, sticking with the most out of form keeper in the league, not playing Sakho. Seriously how can a professional footballer who hasn't been injured not be fit to play? If he's fit enough for the bench, he's fit enough to play 70 minutes at least.
Just so sick of losing now, no one can reason with me.

That's like me saying "when has Sam ever been relegated?" It's just an irrelevant thing to say. Just because Sam hasn't been relegated, it doesn't mean he won't be (evidently), but just because we were never in the bottom 3 under Pardew doesn't mean we weren't heading there quickly! You're insinuating that there is meaning behind not being in the bottom 3 under Pardew when the reality was we were plummeting to relegation with or without Big Sam. I just find it all abit childish. Pardew was very poor, what has happened afterwards doesn't all of a sudden mean he wasn't.

On results no one can complain about pardew getting sacked, judging on our performance, we was better under pardew that's a fact.

The argument isn't did pardew deserve the sack it's have we improved under allardyce and the answer is we've got even worse.

One day the brighter of you will see the damage Pardew has done to our club.
This debacle was never something that was going to be rectified this season. It was rooted too deeply for that.

I thought we were down already at the point Pardew was sacked, and that was a number of months too late in my view.
Well we're paying for it now.

Sorry, but I really do dislike this new abusing people way of debating. Unless you know Pardew personally, how can you type such bull? Does Pardew go around abusing people he doesn't know or ever met for trying to do the best job they can? As I've mentioned, I wanted him out, but Allardyce cannot hide behind the old manager. Results are just as bad, but the performances are far,far worse.

I think given the difference style and what he has inhereted it was always inevitable we'd get worse before we got better. I'll gladly admit I didn't think it would take this long though. Whatever your side of th argument it's undoubtedly a very sad time for the club as we seem to of thrown away something bigger than has ever been achieved at Palace before. I've already resigned myself to the championship, there are things I will always miss about the championship and I've always said that but on balance the pros far outweigh to cons being a premier league team and it's such a shame.

Fingers crossed if we go down it will be nothing more than a wake up call and we come straight back up and learn from our mistakes..

That, I regret, will not happen. The only way we could have even hoped for that is if we'd spent the last four years improving the infrastructure and had a group of players, the majority of which we could retain, plus if we just had the original four owners, who'd have swallowed the losses. Unfortunately we have none of these things.

That's the thing though...he took over a floundering West Ham side who got relegated but took them up at the first time of asking.

The facts are that West Ham are a bigger, better and more-established (in the top division), better-supported club than we are or, at this rate, are ever likely to be and stood a much better chance of 'bouncing back' than we ever will. I'm not convinced, if we do go down, that Sam would stay or whether he's got the heart for the fight any more if he did.
