There were clearly issues and Pulis did get caught telling lies but had we backed him that situation would have never arisen. If Pulis got the backing from the club Pardew did he probably would still be at Palace doing a good job. Parish is learning and i bet he regrets letting Pulis go. You're obviously forgetting the court action Parish brought against him. And won.

The turning point was my mate started to like football (and by extension, us). We've been absolute s*** since then! On a serious note, it was probably when Pards was made manager, but we all were happy with him then and at Christmas when we were 6th, so who's really to blame?

To me it looked like the players were more passionate playing for Pardew than they have been for Allerdyce (granted either way we've been s**t for 12 months). I can't think of any reason, why we'd be really good for 12 months, and then really s**t for twelve months, without even a wobble in between. We went from 6th, and being 'serious Europe contenders' to being s**t with nothing in between.

Pardews answer to this was Adebayor, who clearly wanted one last payday and had no interest in anything else.

Can't go back as far as Pulis. Pardew had an incredible first 12 months - we were the 5th best team in the Prem over that period! Pulis, as well as he did for us was only there 6 months or so. Pardew did incredibly well to turn it round for us after Warnock, but then complacency definitely started to kick in. Agree it was stupid hat he said about Cabaye - difficult to know what impact that had though (if any) Biggest error I think was thinking we had a good central midfield - and I include Jedi in that. Jedi, McArthur, Cabaye, Punch - none of these are good solid Prem defensive midfielders. Jedi was a couple of years back definitely. Replace Jedinak with someone like Luka last summer and a lot of problems are avoided. Also we have been very unlucky with Mandanda - they recognised Wayne was a weak link last summer but Steve's only played 9 games. Losing Bolasie was a big blow, but it was the right decision as he wanted to leave and wasn't up for it anymore. Nothing to do with:

If Pulis had stayed at the club another few days Parish would have lost the court case. Im not backing Pulis, he was a cnut for leaving when he did but things would be a whole lot different now if we kept hold of him.
