He didn't want a peerage, nor a knighthood, but Tony Blair had set his sights on becoming the first President of the Federal States of Europe - that was his ambition, and everything that he has done in his political life was to this end.

Brexit wrecks any chance of this as he can't get elected President if we're not in. No wonder he wants to sabotage !

Why Sadaam did not admit to the UN that he had no weapons is a mystery as he did not have any, the UN gave him chance after chance but he would not comply.

The tory opposition supported the war in all the votes.

Unjustly abused TB.

To put things in perspective.... Blair is as unjustly abused as Dr Shipman, Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris are.

He might as well change his name to Tony Bliar.

He wouldn't know the truth if it smacked him in the face!

In fact you know when he is lying - his lips move!

Quite rightly pointed out becks...

Bliar does nothing unless there is something in it for him personally.

On what basis? If they were told the same lies then it's no wonder.

Do you remember how Dr Kelly "committed suicide" and how Blair was making decisions without any consultation other than with the Americans. The whole thing stank.

I worked in the commons and believe me, those politicians have more in common with each other than they do with us, all eat and drink together in the bar, all pals, its all a game and to take it seriously you have to be deluded, he might be a cnut, simply because he has 34 houses, a greedy cnut maybe? but to be fair so are the tory bullendon boys, cameron, aka lord snooty, and boris,,aka billy bunter,,,but if anyone thinks they have the peoples interest at heart is wasting brain cells!

The tories were in power at the time of 'desert storm' it is consistent that they supported the Iraq war.

Mrs Thatcher stated that Bush senior and John Major did not do the job properly and Sadaam got clean away to carry on butchering people.

Nobody will be abusing them tho.

Yes, thats correct, but now the european president job looks slim i bet he would take a knighthood or lordship, might be a consolation prize!

That was totally different. Sadam had invaded Kuwait and had stuck two fingers up to the West after we had effectively armed him to defeat Iran. A poor plan maybe but a totally different situation none the less.

A piss poor political decision by Bush snr and Major to let him off to murder thousands more innocents.

Mrs Thatcher right she would have finished the job.

You can't usurp a foreign government without approval from the Security Council. I doubt they would have signed it off.
Remember that they did not authorise the action in 2003.
