They're f**king mental, football hooliganism here was bad enough, but those Russian mobs look like they were all made up of the psycho f**ktard who'd always be wanting to stab someone rather than just fight them.

I think they will dress as the Village People. Then they can chant Cee Cee Cee Pee to the tune of YMCA and We Love Putin to the tune of In The Navy e.g We Love Putin - when he bares his manly chest, We Love Putin - cos he doesn't wear a vest, We Love Putin - in his leather boots, We Love Putin - we love Putin. Bet you are humming it now.

I suspect that there is quite a close association between Russian Police and their organised national hooligans, and cross over.

Agreed Jamie. I remember watching a documentary some years back on the Russian Police and Judicial system. Only 10% of people nicked in Russia get bail no matter how minor the offence.

It truly is a country where money talks. If you're wealthy enough then you can pay the old bill off. If not you're not then you're going inside.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

A bit like 'thugs' & the thuggies(apologies re. spelling)
Indian mercenary stranglers from colonial times.
These terms are very interesting.
I find the Russian lot very concerning.
Cavemen but worse.

Not if they know their own alphabet. Those letters of course correspond to Roman 'SSSR', and stood for "Soyuz sovyestkikh sotsialisticheskikh ryespublik", i.e. the USSR.

Don't think the actions would fit those letters either.

Don't know, you could get a right wiggle on to all them Ss, then lift your finger to your mouth for the R.

Russian borrowed quite a lot from French and English in the nineteeth century, particularly when social and technological innovations came to Russia from Western Europe. A favorite example is their word for a railway station, which is 'vokzal'. It's a transcription of the name of Vauxhall station in London which apparently impressed the Russian railway officials when they visited it.

Funnily enough this Russian word "khuligan" takes the stress on the last syllable, where Scottish and Irish Gaelic generally stress the first syllable, as in this case. I think kt serves pronunciation in the oblique cases, "khuliganov", "khuliganami" etc.

Where I come from of course "hooligan" is pronounced "millwallfan".
