Do you remember those 2 Chinese players Venables bought from China at vast expense. One of them only played once or twice. I remember watching them at a midweek game somewhere like Bury in their debut. One of them was like watching a Sunday league player. Don't suppose there was any regulation then re transfer 'fees'.
