My old man is on his death bed unable to communicate presently, but it's a small victory knowing that he became a Palace fan during his last few years. I effectively converted him and my Mum from Arsenal fans to Palace, but it was most certainly the passion from the fans and the entertainment on the pitch that convinced them. So thanks to every voice in the stands as you've played your part there. He might not even see Saturday, but I'll be hoping for a win for him.

COYP

Fantastic.

Let's hope he see's that one last win or at least hear's about it.

I won't dwell on this. After all this thread is about the imminent loss of someone. But needed to reply to the sanctimonious link
any sane person realises god did not create man in his own image. Evidently, it was the opposite way round, which is the painless explanation for the profusion of gods and religion for the killing of their brothers both between and among faiths that we see all about us and has so retarded the development of civilization.
Seek physiological help my friend

pstrutt - my deepest condolences regarding your father. Best wishes to you and your family. Apologies on my end for derailing the thread slightly - no disrespect intended.

I think you have mistaken me for another poster. Maybe the word physiological confused you or haven't read the whole thread

Sorry to hear about your old fella Strutters... glad to hear that he came to his senses as he got older and wiser!

My old man was a nasty piece of work and would deliberately support Manure if they were playing Palace just to annoy me... luckily the Devil took him in 2008 and I'll bet he wishes he hadn't.

All the best.
